  1. These scalpers made themselves look even less respectable than they already were.

  2. Want to put a stop to this stop/limit selling online. Make brick and mortar stores a priority instead of online. Also limit one console per person. This will make it allot more difficult to buy multiple items. Don't get me wrong I do shop online a lot. But selling these consoles the way they are has not been working and is enabling the scalpers.

  3. Scalpers are the reason I will not buy a ps5. Sony is responsible for this behavior and I bet Sony is the one making extra cash as a result of this horrible situation. I had plenty of money to buy a ps5 and I'm simply not buying one until it's being sold for a couple of hundred bucks so in about three years. Sony, hang your head in shame

  4. Let them scalp the 1st run machines. Those are the buggy machines and if you are willing to pay $1k+ for a beta machine, then you deserve what you get. Since the 1st run machines are scalped, there's less of a chance that the 2nd and 3rd run machines will be scalped, and those are the machines you really want. They generally have fewer hardware bugs and are more efficient machines.

  5. Retailer sell at msrp. (MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE) sony creates the product. Estimates value of sale to balance out product, material, and labor so they can see enough of a profit return. But video game console creators do not make a lot of profit on hardware sales.
They make profit off of SOFTWARE Sales.
And with every console these scaplers do not sell is starving that market.
    Fuck mate
You deserve all the flak your getting. If your a claimed middle man sell at mrsp plus state tax. Not higher than mrsp.

  6. For real, this whole conversation is stupid, a guy has the right to buy and resell at the price he wants, the only reason they can ask 500 dollars for a PS5 is because there is more demand than supply, if tomorrow or later the supply increases, these guys can take a good loss, this is basic economics…stop crying over a video game, be a man…

  7. sry dudes they're right this is simply economics. sony could be selling PS5s for more to get that money for themselves, but supply and command is the real culprit here, along with consumer expectations. consumers want more ps5s than are available, so the market makes up the difference. your expectations that the company will sell at a flat rate to everyone no matter the supply is just showing the lack of understanding of simple economics. Sony is playing its part in the expectation setting by marketing their product at a certain price which doesn't conform to its actual value, in part because it's a selling point to sell it for less and thus drum up more business, but also because it doesn't expect this kind of demand to exist forever. most ps5s are still bought by consumers, scalpers only represent <1/5th of the action.

  8. The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water.

  9. seriously i am surprised that the various places that sell them are not going after the scalpers After all lets be real if those stores could sell a device at a higher price the stores woudl be making more bank opps

  10. I sympathize with the scalpers, they are being treated as unfairly as Martin Shkreli who merely bought the rights to out of patent medications and increased the price to the point that the patients had to either sell their homes to by the full course of meds or slowly die in agony.
They are both just championing capitalism so the commies don't take over and provide free healthcare for those that can't afford it.

(I live in a country that has free healthcare but somehow hasn't become communist)
