  1. CORRECTION:
Spyro runs at 1440p, which was the native resolution if you played on a PS4 pro and Xbox Series X. So if you played the game on a base console and upgraded to either a PS5 or Series X, the resolution WOULD be better

    Sorry for the mix up!

  2. I like PlayStation 5 better in my opinion. Because I really owned for PlayStation for like 19 years. And I am really a huge fan of PlayStation. I'm just being honest.
And speaking of that, I am so looking forward to get my hands on PlayStation 5 system eventually soon so I could play the backward compatibility of Spyro Reignited Trilogy on PS4 game, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on PS4 game, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled on PS4 game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time on PS4 game, and Ratchet & Clank Reboot on PS4 game soon, and especially a brand new Ratchet & Clank game: "Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart" on PS5 game when it'll be released in this year eventually soon. 😀

Oh, and speaking of Spyro, I am still hoping for news and rumors about a brand new Spyro game which is a real sequel to the original trilogy of Spyro the Dragon series: "Spyro 4" to be announced in this year soon eventually.
Not anymore remakes of Spyro the Dragon games like Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Spyro: Shadow Legacy, and The Legend of Spyro the reboot trilogy of Spyro series.
Just a brand new Spyro game: Spyro 4.
But I'm still looking forward for that one. 😁🤞
    I'm just saying though. 🙂

  3. Every time I see this game it just makes me think it should have been Spyro the dragon reignited. The other 2 were so hastily done that they don't compare to how much detail was put into the first game.

  4. Loading times (at least on the PC version) is inconsistent between each of the 3 games (e.g. Spyro 2 + 3 levels loading in quicker than 1) so it might be worth testing these new consoles across each game

Good video though! Gonna stick to the PC version

  5. I personally hate the fps drops on the ps4 pro, it seems to run fine in 1080p but when you play it on a 4k tv with the 1440p resolution it's sluggish and sometimes off putting so I hope they release 4k 60fps patches for next gen consoles

  6. I just got back into Spryo after playing it on release & on the XSX having the quick resume feature is so nice! Just straight back where I left it a week ago 😅 overall I just hope they release a new Spyro game like they did with Crash it would be so cool!! I love Spyro & would love them to keep releasing games but not like Enter the Dragonfly not like that 😂

  7. Don’t know what the Developers Of Activision and Toys For Bob plans will be for the New Spyro 4 Game

But Hope they add in Spyro’s
    Unlimited Free Flight Ability
    Anytime any level without Limitations

    Yeah yeah flying isn’t platforming

But they could Research and Invent New
    Level Up Elements
    And
    Upgradeable Qualities

So they could Spyro’s Free Flight Ability more
Enjoyable Thrilling and Rewarding to play

Hello Spyro is a Dragon he has Wings he should actually use them

And the Developers are Idealistic and Creative People and they have the ability and motive to add In New but Good improvements in Spyro’s new games

So again hope they add in Spyro’s
Unlimited Free Flight Ability with Upgradeable Qualities

In the new Spyro 4 Game and in time Newer Spyro Games coming on the Horizon

  8. Let's see here; the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy runs better on the PlayStation 5, yet the Spyro Reignited Trilogy runs better on the Xbox Series X. I had to go back to the N. Sane Trilogy video so I could double-check myself. We shall see what the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled video has in store.

  9. As much as I like this collection, it was really poorly made. I mean, you’re gonna tell me that Xbox One X can run RDR2 at true 4K but can barely handle this game with serious frame pacing issues? Come on Toy for Bob.

  10. the 'slow load-ins' with portal entry vs fast travel would be exclusive to spyro 1, you should have tested it in one of the other games. you'd have the same issue on PC that 'loads' are surprisingly long there (which it seems to me the xbox series x is loading more similarly to, being faster on fast travel and return home). the portal-into-level load screen in spyro 1 is unique in that it basically acts like a cutscene with a predetermined minimal length, very likely due to the scripted fly-in animation at the end. series x half-second difference there is inconsequential because its loads are much faster overall. in fact, i'd probably give that half a second slower than ps5 to the fact that xbox loaded the level itself into memory extremely quickly after entering the portal, causing that little hiccup during the fly in a couple seconds after entering the portal

  11. Series X texture advantage is probably tied to the system level 16x AF.

Though I don't understand what's happening on your Series X color wise, mine is slowing everything correctly. Even without Auto HDR. Did you select 10 bit color (if supported) and PC RGB in your settings ?

The thing I dislike about Toys for Bob games on Xbox is the fact that One X versions of Spyro and Crash 4 are based on OG Xbox One settings. That's why One X / Series X lacks the dynamic shadows when breathing fire, something even the OG PS4 have. However both games look stellar on Series X thanks to Auto HDR.

  12. We should group up and send an email or something to activision or toys for bob for a patch to come out… At least a 60fps patch on the new consoles i mean the game would benefit from it a lot!

  13. For the washed out issue, did you put the Series X to "PC RGB" in the Xbox settings? I remember i had to do that so my xbox didnt looked washed out on my monitor. Just leave your Tv or monitor rgb settings to auto.

  14. Quick resume is definitely worth mentioning, I love it so much. I mostly play other games and only play Spyro a few levels at a time. Because of quick resume I will load into the same exact spot I was at right away, like I never left the game, and this will still happen after weeks of not playing Spyro and dozens of other games in between. I feel like quick resume is a big make or break feature here. Quick resume haven’t failed me on this game and is incredible

  15. I thought the Xbox one looked a bit washed out colour wise! The particle effects look better than PS5 though but that could just be me.
Thank you for this comparison! I’m thinking about getting a Series X but maybe I’ll rethink about what previous gen games I’ll re-buy. (Had a PS4 beforehand but recently moved to full time Switch player lol)

  16. While it's not a really big deal since TVs have separate image and audio settings for each input, that's a strange choice by XBox and make it look kinda broken, or beta.

  17. Yeah obviously PC> both consoles, unless TSB realeses some kind of patch for the current generation the game will be no different from the previous, the game there already had solid performance so there's nothing to improve just by better hardware, and if you have an SSD in your PS4 load times also be the same.
