Reading all of the comments, xbox should out sell PS5. But it seems xbox fanboys buy both but PS fanboys only buy one. Like they're more than satisfied

I have both and the series x is just better hardware wise, its absolutely silent and quick resume is a game changer! Ps5 just has those games though and i love the controller.

PS5 has been a bit of a mess. Bricking, coil whine noise, rest mode issues, old components in the controller leading to stick drift and haptic trigger breaks, no expanded storage, yet. It's like Sony built a console on hopes and dreams where all these features work in theory but didn't really test any of it out. Jim Ryan – "Just put it in there Cerny, we'll figure it out later". From a PC gamer, this topic is interesting. Sony chose to go for a custom RDNA 2 GPU (dropping a lot and adding some, presumably to save $$$), and also went for the fastest SSD weโve ever seen with kraken compression. However Microsoft seemed to go with the better all around system, the design of the console alone makes it very impressive. A full RDNA 2 GPU is cool, 52 Cus is really impressive (the 6800XT, AMDโs flagship is a 72CU die). The SSD on the Xbox peaks at around 3.9GB/s. I think both are cool, as for the PS5 getting toastier and louder due to the NVME situation? Thatโs understandable, even in PCโs we have that issue if we canโt get a correct heat syncs for our NVMESโs. They always get toasty. Sony went for such a blasting fast SSD, nothing on the market is actually faster than it. Xboxโs implementation is really cool with those expansion slots you simply insert and youโre done. Both are cool, but not looking good for Sony with the dualsense issues. I have both and a PC with a 3090 OC (5900X 32GB ram), and I must say the PS5s exclusives are really cool but the library gets dry quickly, game pass is great on the Xbox but for a PC gamer makes no sense.
One thing I will say, series s was a terrible idea. It will hold back the generation all jokes aside.

My ps4 was turbine loud, couldn't even watch Netflix without fans whirling away and on demanding games like ghosts of tsushima they went berserk. My ps5 is silent as is my dads but I know they all arnt like that! Hows the series s? That will probably be my next buy

Ps5 has few issues as sony are innovating and taking risks with their new completely different ps5 hardware than ps4's . But once the issues will be ironed out , true next gen will be felt by every single ps5 owner ( of course most of ps5 users are having no trouble now mostly )
Msft is taking the cheap and easy way with their "next gen " xbox console with the only MAJOR difference between it and xbox one is more tflops and better gpu and CPU architectures .
Every single game running on ps5 whether 3rd or 1st party is more immersive than its counterpart running on xsx. And we are still at the begining of the gen .
Best looking games right now are dms remake and miles morales .
Most immersive truly next gen gaming experience now is on ps5 .
So as a conclusion , fanboys will always be fanboys just like facts will always be facts .

The one advantage the ps5 has, is it has some level of dust filtering.. the series x has absolutely nothing to prevent or even slow dust build up on the inside.. me having 3 huskies, even though I keep a clean house this will be an issue. 3 months I've already opened my x to do a cleaning.

It's time, now, do it. No more consoles, build your PC (when parts become available). Heard Sony is going to do the right thing and make many of their games for the Almighty PC. It is the king, it is the best and you can even do your banking on the PC, watch YouTube, word process, code and Play Games. You can add attachments of all sorts, BIG ULTRAWIDE MONITORS. Consoles are just a subset of a PC, so why are you spending so much money and energy of a wannabe PC?
The trouble is the PS5 SSD is not even 1tb. At least XSX you can store XSX on hdd and when you play then, cannot play from hdd, has to go back on ssd to run.
ON PS5 you can only store ps4 games on hdd and run them
xsx can run xbox 1 games from hdd, and save XSX games on hdd and transfer to ssd in XSX to run game

For a first time ever console gamer which one do you suggest ? I have no prior experience with either . I just got lucky in placing orders and will be getting delivered both xbox and Ps5 but i want to keep just one and return the other and i am having hard time picking one !

I really dislike the design of the PS5 too. It's in my opinion very awkward looking. Much prefer the Xbox Series designs.
When bigger better games comes along which is DEMANDING on the hardware, I would reccon you will have a "flight take off" sound again on the PS5. That fan design isn't very quiet when it has to ramp up its speed, where I got my intel is from my airpurifier which has close to exact same fan design, yes it really does move a lot of air, BUT guess what it gets really loud when that fan speed up. PS5 is infact a poor design choice and Sony's department for designing this thing should get fired, imho.

Let's be honest… Ps5 wasn't resdy for launch… They just rushed the whole process to match xbox launch window because Sony was scared to loose some clients. Do you remember HOW Long it took them to reveal the console? The price as well? Now this? It's obvious that the console was in the works but Playstation 5 was trying to be ambitious and tried to match if not surpass the series X… They failed so they're pushing on the only thing that's left… Exclusive games

I've been spoiled by how silent the Xbox Series X is even when gaming for long periods. Loving this gen. Not surprised PS5 going to get louder I called it when they first showed the teardown it was going to have problems. Also engineering wise Xbox took the harder path of making a relatively compact console and succeeding in proper cooling. Its harder to make something compact then just going bigger like Sony did.

I don't know what ur talking bout my ps5 is quiet as hell. Xbox series x runs hotter, CNET did an article running Gears 5 it got to 121.9F & Spiderman Miles Morales was at 95.1F. So actually the series x runs hotter with last gen game. When it comes to ssd we have to see. If I can get one with a heatsink & that could help run the ssd cooler. We have to wait for Sony to give us more info. Why they disable the ssd expansion, they didn't want ppl putting ssd's in the slot & the games won't load or work right. Cause ssd's have to match or be greater then Sony internal ssd and even now there's not many that can.

It doesn't mean xbox is built better. It's all personal opinion. Nobody's opinion matters when in reality, ALL technology is flawed. I own 4 PS5 systems, and NONE of them are making any noise. 1 or 2 systems out of 50 isn't a bad thing. None of mine are overheating. All are silent.
Loving my Series X, we don't need to prove anything , i guess time will tell that Xbox Series X will got lead this gem, so far loving every bit of my Series X.
