Quick tip to get a huge FPS boost in Valheim

Best tip for increasing your FPS in Valheim: this is a tip that actually works. Can be really useful for those struggling to get good fps when playing Valheim. The trick is about forcing your game to run in ‘true fullscreen’ instead of the fullscreen option that’s presented in the options, which will lead to better fps in Valheim.

The command used in the video: -window-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen

  1. Or just don't play Valheim on a Potato. The ONLY time I have any issues with FPS is during the Game's Auto-Save. Granted I have a fairly high end Gaming rig so that helps loads.

  2. It's so sad playing with 25-30 fps in most of the swamp areas. I have an i5 6500 + nvidia 1060 6gb +16gb ram, it's frustrating. I also tried other optimizations but nothing helped me in any way. Ill try this for sure and let u know what happens…

  3. Wow. This very much worked. I couldn't do many things due to single digit FPS on a computer that should be able to do well – and this made a great improvement! Thank you

  4. I find it easier to just play in windowed mode and maximize the window. This way when i tab to another window I can still see what's happening in the game and it doesn't disappear to the task bar.
