Real fact. Why is this game even nominated? Is it because it looks like journey on a glance? The game is not some faraway epic.
This year Spiritfarer, cloudpunk, spelunky2, Haven, Hades, Pathless, deep rock galactic, necrobarista etc i thought was way better.
I sense some Bengaliness
As an Indian Australian who grew up solely in the west I’ve been sort of disconnected from my culture, so it means a lot to see an Indian made game about Indian culture that is so widely available. I’m not sure why I never heard about this before. Probably because there’s no free to air game news show in Australia for adults, it’s only for kids which I only watched to see what game to buy my 8 year old nephew for Christmas, which is where I finally heard about Raji. Anyway, I’m going to buy it as soon as I get back on my PS4. Must support Indian developers. I’ll encourage anyone else who has a platform that can play it to do the same.
My late father would have loved to hear about this game. He loved hearing about even the slightest Indian references. We would never have conceived to see our culture depicted in a video game when he was alive. R.I.P baba Acharya.
