We’re playing the new champion Renata today in testing and for me she is pretty… lackluster. Due to the nature of her kit her abilities are kinda strong so they’ve had to give her really long CDs to balance this so it makes her lane phase incredibly boring. Like, Comment & Subscribe! Renata Glasc kind of feels like a DotA hero to me in terms design feel. (This is coming from someone who hasn't played DotA in over a decade, so this comparison might be over 10 years out of date, so ymmv) She does a few things REALLY WELL and probably makes a good counterpick champ, but she also has very obvious weaknesses as well. I don't think she's going to be anyone's onetrick choice because of it.
Does Q throw range get affected to how close you are to the target you’re throwing at like Syndra W.
Also Zeri unless she autos with her Q kinda hard stomps this champ
I probably wouldn’t say the ult is useless. Even if the autos dont deal too much damage in the early game it’s still like 2 seconds of hard cc
Xerath, Lux, and Brand will eat her alive.
just put the champion with jhin and its a pretty unlosable laning phase and midgame tbh

Renata looks very fun to play but I do see that she needs some sort of buffs like her Q needs to be slightly faster and push/pull should be every so slightly longer nothing crazy just a little bit and her E give it a little bit more range and maybe increase the shields and maybe the dmg a little bit the rest of her ability’s are fine just Q and E needs some minor buffs
Would be cool to see the other game since it gives your actual first thoughts and a second vid doesnt offer that edit: i think her kit half asses everything which leads to a meh experience. That hook looks terrible unless u think of it as a like 0.5 second stun
I wonder if riot is ever going to stop releasing champions? I feel like it’s seriously just hurting their game balance/ playerbase at this point. The skill threshold is so high that even if you just take a few months off and come back everything’s changed. It’s a little ridiculous tbh I can’t even play it anymore
I don't think she's bad but I have a feeling not many people will play or main her because she's very slow to get started and not the most exciting play style. I could see her being a niche pick people would use as a counter to heavy AD comps.
I feel like a lot of her damage is in her passive. It only works when an ally attacks them so it might be good in pro but not a soloqueue champ.

I dont understand why do you care so much about damage they do to each other with her ult. Its 1.75 second stun thats easy to land on multiple people, damage is really just an added bonus that makes it broken in some situations and just good balanced ult in others

Renata ult gets really strong level 16 but fir a support that's a pipe dream. Also W max is best on Renata. None the less she is still a bit boring. Hyped for the mega fed master yi 1v9 montage though
