The lore speaks of an ancient Necron Titan called Setekh. Today I will build my own scratch build of this Warhammer 40000 Lord of War. I wish he had rules..

  1. 1. Love your work, and this was yet another stellar effort.

    2. Are you aware of the YouTube cooking show Bingeing With Babish? I mean it as a massive compliment when I say that you seem like the 40k equivalent of him – eloquent, witty, charmingly self-deprecating and with a similarly soothing voice!

  2. I think you should've just used fluorescent green craft paint and dry brushed the osl effect with that.
The oil green just isn't necron enough to me.
Other than that it looks great👍

  3. Very good job on the head! I still am not sure in the slightest about a giant Warrior as a unit (I think Zandrekh's Megalith makes far more sense) but you certainly nailed the idea!

  4. I wonder if Andrew Rea would be interested in investing in a "Bashing with Babish" series, because your channel has that vibe. Great video! Also, perhaps chainmail gloves for those pesky 'cutting toward your fingers' moments?? Cheers Sir!

  5. It mede me smile when you took my advice on smoothing your GS sculps. It looked very nice when it was done. Then I realised you did not smooth out the second one on the other leg and I had a OCD attack xD I know it must have benn too much of a bother since it was placed under the non weapon holding arm but still…
Your painting is amazing to me. I never bothered to make light effects with painting.
At first when you elongated his face I was like: oh that is a good method and I can see you puting the efort in, to make the sculpt smooth. Then at 4:32 I was like… why the hell his head looks so ugly like it's melting?! But after that I was again like: daeum! that look good!
Overall it was satisfying to watch.

Btw. is that background music from FTL? It sounds familiar.

  6. My only complaint was the face shape, but it looks very in-character now. I think the last thing I would touch up are the white spindly bits coming out of the staff. I assume it's electricity effects, but I don't quite get that vibe. Regardless, this build has a super impressive feel and end result. Well done!
