After learning how Jack Baker really did kill Ethan by stomping on his head in the last game, Ethan really could a faceless/headless protagonist. The mold just kept him alive but it never regenerated his face, so he now looks like a rotten, black void of a face.

The part where you play as Chris was far more enjoyable because you see him in cutscenes, they should have done so with Ethan no matter how obnoxious the character is atleast it would have given him some depht

One theory is that Ethan's face was destroyed when he was killed in RE7 (that stomp definitely did some damage to his face) and since he revived his face was covered by the mold. So the game deliberately avoided showing his face to let players (and Ethan himself) know that he is not human anymore.

I feel bad for Donna Benevento, she was the only lord who hadn't a mutated form. Also her level was so short, I think there was a lot of argument and history to explote, but Capcom really wasted this great character.

Those soldat variant got Quake 4 strogg vibe to it and also Chris and his squad need their own spin-off show/game cause they badass.
My only other question is what happened with joe and zoe are they done with their story,or can they return as Easter egg??
