Resident Evil 8 Village – Chris Redfield Explains Why He Killed Mia

In this my new video of Resident Evil 8 Village you can see a scene from the game’s story where Chris Redfield explains to Ethan why he killed Mia Winters.

This Resident Evil 8 Village video was completely recorded, played and edited by me, the video is taken from the Playstation 5 version of the Capcom game.

Ever since Capcom showed the first official trailer for Resident Evil 8 Village, users have always wondered: why did chris kills mia? Obviously in the final game we have an answer to this question which is provided by Chris himself.

In this video you can see the moment in the story when Chris Redfield and Ethan Winters collide and our protagonist finally gets some answers, the video obviously contains spoilers on the game’s plot.

  1. I know it's horrible when I say it like that, but like what if every Resident Evil game coming in the future just had Mia always die as the first person? I mean like she's not even in the game yet shes still there and dies for some reason.

  2. When he said "Long story short, miranda's fucking insane" i paused game and died laughing for 2 minutes straight like, i would have been completely satisfied plot wise if that was the only explanation Chris gave Ethan

  3. Chris could have handled the whole business a lot better if he wasn't a dumbass. He made himself look the bad guy, of course Ethan would want to kill Chris for what happened

  4. wasn't a fan of Chris barely being in the game and they gave no explanation whatsoever as to why he was working for a new umbrella and not the BSAA, i loved the game but so many questions unanswered.

  5. It's like Chris Redfield coming clean as to why he's the heavy in this game. Everyone's going to think Chris is the antagonist, but later on, Ethan mistakens Chris as a "personal" antagonist. Remember we had an instance in Street Fighter IV and V where Akuma puts the "personal" in antagonism–he is an antagonist, but he's more of a personal antagonist to Ryu.

  6. So, to Clairie-ify, (yes, bad pun, I'm childish like that) Chris killed a John Carpenter monster who kidnapped and took the place of his wife. Pretty fucked up, and he kept Eef in the dark about it, because he rightfully assumed he'd try to take revenge against the violent mutants responsible. So he instead captured them for their protection, but not only was Miranda (the real identity of the Mia clone) a shapeshifter, she was a regenerator who infiltrated the truck and took Ethan daughter. You may question why Chris didn't think Ethan would survive if he went after Miranda, but to answer that question, remember Resident Evil 7; Ethan only destroyed Eveline due to Chris' intervention. He was not a former cop turned counter terrorist; he only went through one mansion and tried to settle for a peaceful life right after that. Chris instead tried to save Mia and return her to Ethan, not knowing of his special abilities. I would say that I would like to see Chris' side of this story through a DLC, but we already had that DLC in 7 and… I dunno, I think I wanna see someone else get a DLC chapter. Like, say, Ada Wong; we've not seen her in a while, unless the RE4 re-releases count.

  7. I was so happy when I realized that chris wasnt rogue or anything worse than that. Like his teammate told him, he should've told Ethan right from the start what was going on
