I don't remember when was the last time i saw a bone-chilling credit scene and music in a video game.
They upped their series with RE8. What a game.
"RE4 credit flashback intensifies"

So the credits scene is showing how the village got into this state…interesting…

So de family at de book tales. Mother died, de father daughter is sick and being tell deres a doctor in dat castle. De plague doctor gives a cure dat was a bioweapon to everyone include de child and father. but de child is survived idk but father wasnt survived. right?

I was carefully waiting for the name of Chris's voice actor because he sounds similar to Carlos's in RE3. Then I saw "Adult Rose" and I'm like whaat? I was shocked that there's gonna be a post credit scene

Is this really about Ethan saving Rosemary? Are you sure it's not Miranda and her Husband saving their daughter from the witch? The protagonist is a young girl, which means it's got to be Eva. Eva the daughter of Miranda. Miranda said this was a local tale, which means it actually happened before. The parents outfits are from the mid-1800s.
Spoilers: Something I just came up with. Mostly Non Canon.
Eva born in 1909, death in 1919. (Cause of death Spanish Flu aka Influenza)
Daughter of Miranda and Unknown Husband.

A future reference? Eva will come back or maybe Eva is the one narrating right now.
The way the narrator talks about the parents, "With rampant rage, Father fought the witch while Mother's loving touch shattered the dark enchantment."
It would make sense if she came back to life. Instead of Rose being sacrificed it was her own mother Miranda that got sacrificed to the Megamycete. If the Megamycete can give immortality, I doubt a mere explosion would destroy it, which means Eva might've been resurrected and will look for revenge for her mother. Starting, by using Ethan to make Rosemary to come to her.
"Gifts we gave, but more you took," she snarled. "So more, in turn, is due." In a blink the girl is inside the mirror. Her parents (In the game only Ethan was able to find Rosemary) though, had searched all day and, at last, arrived. With rampant rage, Father fought the Witch while Mother's loving touch shattered the dark enchantment (Mia never helped). But, the witch was strong and father yelled, "Save our daughter!"
Bat Lord: HE greeted her warmly and bit HIS own wing. "Come, child. Quench your thirst." HE said.
Dark Weaver: "Come, child, warm yourself," he coaxed. So she clothed herself and smiled with joy.
Fish King: "Come, child. Eat your fill." So the girl ate and smiled with joy once more.
Iron Steed: The creature said nothing as the girl approached and snatched what she thought was a gift.
The Four Lords don't match these monsters. Bat Lord is a He, Dark Weaver is a He, Fish King is too nice to be the selfish Moreau, and Iron Steed is a quiet horse while Heisenberg is a loud self-centered man. Also, their monster forms don't match.
If the Megamycete has already been there all along wouldn't that mean these monsters already existed long before Miranda became Mother Miranda, which means someone more powerful than Mother Miranda exist?
After losing her husband (husband probably not dead we'll see on RE9 cuz Ethan was alive in RE:Village Ending) she was devastated, but atleast she had their daughter. Their daughter probably told her stories of the monsters she met in the forest. Until, she lost Eva to Spanish Flu. Miranda wanted to die so she went to a secluded place the mountains there she discovered a cave. What she saw blew her mind, it was the Megamycete or the Fungal Root. No one knows how long it's been there, but as she touched it she gained knowledge lots of it. She found out that the Megamycete has a lot of consciousness in it including her daughter. She just needed the right host for her daughter Eva.
So, she immediately performed experiments on the villagers. She made a parasite called the Cadou and infected the villagers with it. But, most of them were failures lycans. Until she stumbled upon four villagers Alcina Dimitrescu, Salvatore Moreau, Donna Beneviento, and Karl Heisenberg. None of them we're compatible for Eva, so yet again they were failures but almost perfect so she decided to make them the Four Lords in charge of their own domains, and we're loyal to Mother Miranda. They helped her with her experiments.
Now, what I don't get is that girl at the end credits. That girl that lived in the house that we first went into in the village. The girl with white hair and red dress lost her mother due to the Spanish Flu. The girl also got sick, and she was injected by a Doctor Plague. In the injection was Cadou, which means that Doc Plague was Mother Miranda. The girl was totally fine after her injection, but her dad slowly turned into a Lycan. I thought the first almost perfected being that was injected by Cadou was 44-yr old Alcina Dimitrescu. Hopefully we'll see more of this girl in the next Resident Evil.

Honestly this game is literally resident evil 4 in spirit. Both have similar ending credits where a village was once happy, filled with normal people enjoying their lives and suddenly an greedy individual arrives to destroy their lives. As an very old fan of the series resident evil village is now my number one resident evil game, I'd recommend it to everyone.
Is this implying Rose Winters has the four Lords' powers?

The way Ethan said goodbye to his daughter broke my heart, but he stood tall until the very end. Other RE protagonists are greatness, but Ethan's sacrifice will always be legendary.
