i was just watching some playthroughs of this game wondering if there were any pistol comparison videos, and lo and behold, the exact video i needed was posted less than 15 minutes ago. much appreciated 😀
I don't understand why they kept the lemi at level 4 max upgraded, they should've made it so you can upgrade it more but it's a shame and I really like this pistol but great vid none the less.
The game is severely missing the exclusive upgrades from RE4.

That's a bit of an issue about RE8. They brought back the RE4 upgrade system wich is really nice, and even added extra options for melee weapons, but they kinda threw it away.
Every late gun in the game is straight up better than the earlier ones in pretty much all aspects, and neither gun have any exclusive detail to make it unique among the others. The player has no reason to hold a Lemi after getting a V61, even if it have maxed stats and equipment. The V61 is just better.
In Resident Evil 4, every gun has it's pros and cons, the red9 is slower but trades off in firepower, the basic handgun gets a 5x critical damage in headshots making it stay useful on regular enemies in the late game, while being cheaper to upgrade. The punisher is the only gun that can pierce through enemies, while the Blacktail, having amazing overall stats might require you to avoid upgrading your guns and struggle in the early game, in order to max it out properly and compensate in the late game. It's a little mechanic that adds variety in every new gameplay.
