  1. Visuals are underwhelming, if I'm honest. Looks like a 3D painting, not really photo-real. Ray tracing didn't seem to do much either because everything looked so flat… which is massively disappointing given that they're using the same amazing engine they used for DmC 5's brilliant visuals.

Still, amazing performance and screen-tearing-less capture, lol. Thanks as always for uploading 👍👍

  2. Just Curious…
Reckon you can pull off 8K without RT?
Maybe try 4K with 1.5x Scale for that UberSharpness while maintaining decent frames in a 3090?
I think your setup probably can 🙂
Even just 40fps+ for aiming… as a target fps?

  3. Got to say the RT is barely noticable. Turned it on and off and couldn't really tell, 😢another weak AMD RT game, doesn't even need DLSS as it's so pointless like Dirt 5. For me at 4k 27" the FXAA added as well as TAA made it look 🤢 and CAS is not for me as always. The TAA on it's own without FXAA on my monitor still looks pixel sharp suprisingly so i'm happy as TAA is usually very blurry. HDR made the game look better as in SDR it looked very washed out even after calibrating the in game brightness settings.

The castle demo also runs with excellent fps, maybe even higher than the village.

If you don't have an RT gpu don't worry it's a weak implementation and in no way impressive to me like most Nvidia sponsered games.

  4. Thanks for the video! Doesn't seem like ray tracing does a lot in this game considering it's largely just baked lighting. But even in cases where ray tracing should do something it's not doing anything at all. Look for example at 30:25 and the left side of the wall is completely lit – at least some of the light should be occluded because of the flames and that beam, but it's not.

I do think it looks beautiful though, especially those clothes look almost real.
