Rip ethan winters you was a great character in the resident evil series a civilan who got sucked in to a life of fighting bio weapons. Would liked to se one more game with him in it though

Bro i know many people disliked resident evil 6, but you cant lie that the story is absolute beauty. Don't you think it would be cool when ethan pushes chris, he got a flashback of piers pushing him into the escape pod. Come on, piers deserved some respect for saving him. Though i finally got a little details how chris is finally get used to it since he lost piers. I found it really cool, but it would be more dramatic if chris had flashback about piers with ethan
I think capcom wanted us to feel anger and thirst for vengance, like what Chris feels at end.
yeah hes not dead and for 3 reasons 1 he can be seen standing in the road at the end of 8 if you get the secret ending 2 resident evil 9 has already been confirmed as the 3rd instalment of a 3 part story that fellows him and 3 when hes travailing to the last boss fight with Miranda the duke says you know you can never go back to your old life now and Ethan says i know but why couldn't he if he lived he had already proven he can live a normal life being mould or not he was even able to conceive a child as mould lol so there's more to that then just because he was about to die because the duke knew he was going to win my guess is that after he set the bomb off he regenerated and went to where ever the duke is from to live out his life without worry of putting his family at risk or with out risk of another company using him for research

He saved the world from a great danger and no one will never know what he did.
Gotta say. RE7+8 made me officially consider Ethan my favorite character in the RE series. Because he's no trained hero. He's just a random nice dude wanting to protect his wife and daughter and is ready to go through everything for them. He's the most relatable one of all. And this premature death makes him a legend. I'll miss this character. Now i'll go back to RE7 to ease the GRIEF.

dude was an absolute unit he took down mutants with guns all by himself
Poor Ethan. He went through literal hell on earth twice to save his loved ones and never even got to see his daughter grow up.
Ethan still alive thou, if u go photo mode and zoomin the person walkin towards the car rose was on at the epilogue, u can see its him.
And this is just my guessing : resident evil 9 will be "phoenIX".
Phoenix=resurrection. They might still bring bac ethan at some point.
