  1. Fully agree with the review, the game felt unfocused and like it had a bit of an identity crisis. I would have rather wanted more survival horror like 7 or more proper action like 4.

Also, the game brings back RE4's inventory and upgrade system but totally bungles them. You can carry an infinite amount of crafting items and it can be done anywhere instantly, so inventory space is absolutely never an issue. The new guns you unlock also just seem to be straight up better than any of the older ones, there's no fun player choice like deciding between if you want the more powerful bolt action sniper or the faster semi-auto sniper; which was a huge part of why RE4 was so replayable.

  2. Honestly this looks like Bioshock more than Resident Evil. I still don't get why they don't go back to third person. But also can you give us some spoiler warnings ? U didn't ruin the game but i still haven't played it, and already u revealed too much in the footage

  3. Ethan being a dead mould person with just his consciousness is a plot directly ripped from Alan Moore's "Saga Of The Swamp Thing" comic book, where Alec Holland (Swamp Thing) thought he was just a guy who was mutated into the Swamp Thing by a freak accident, but it turns out Alec has been dead the whole time and the swamp actually absorbed his consciousness so he's just been vegetable matter that thinks its Alec Holland the whole time

  4. The game was fun tho lol

The bosses were crazy and took awhile to figure out the puzzles but it was good it didn't drag out I give it a 9/10 definitely a great game in my perspective and opinion the factory was a dope concept and the doll was unique due to that baby monster. Then the fish boss was fun n the vampire mom was also a good boss to her claws put her in a big advantage in distance. But with my experience of mr x n nemesis I'm use to getting around but to a new comer it'd be difficult forsure. Also the arrows and enemy type make sense due to the village lore lol

  5. Youtube is acting weird deleting my comments for some reason on your channel now, no idea why possibly since I deleted one comment and reposted it may have come up as spam. In any case wanted to say I agree on your points and won't let Youtube hold me back from boosting your channel in the algorithm. Good analysis mate and congrats on 11k subs.

  6. I do agree with the fact that it's not really scary, however i may be wrong, but i do think they said it is meant to be more action based. The biggest problem is that the second area, it feels out of place as it's pure horror. I found it quite scary, but it felt like a different game. Also felt like the second and third sections were too short, mostly the second section. Though i was a big fan of the last area ngl.

  7. For me practically everything you say as a negative I thought was great. appealing to all these different sides of the fandom at once works for me because im part of every side of it. I love the classic games, I love the action games, i love the first person style, I love silent hill which the whole doll house was a blatant homage of. To me theres no weak link style of resident evil I've pretty much loved them all equally. So when you say it does all of that and ends up appealing to none of the sides of the fandom because of it, I'm someone that it clearly appeals to. I go no lower than a 9.5/10 for this game I dont think theres a whole lot at all that they could have done to make it a better experience atleast for me. Honestly i also think people have way too high of standards for games these days. It seems like everyone plays games as a critic looking at every aspect searching for things to consider either a positive or negative instead of just enjoying the game. So much of anything bad i hear of any game (I'm not saying this just to shill re8 its literally every game) I'm just like why does it matter? Is it that big a deal that you arent fighting bow and arrow lycans every 10 minutes? Is it that bad to have a section that takes your weapons away in favor of a more puzzle heavy vulnerable horror based area? Is any of the negatives you give of any game really THAT big a deal or are you just someone that holds games to way too high of standards and looks way too deep into everything and doesnt go into it ready to properly just enjoy the experience anymore? Im in no way trying to say you cant not think the game is perfect i just question the actual validity of some of the criticisms which again its not just resident evil this is an industry standard that tons of people look at games as a critic and not as someone just trying to enjoy a game. I look at certain criticisms like not enough bow and arrow lycans or heads not popping off for this one creature or i had to do a section without any shooting and i just think why does it matter at all? Maybe that's just me not understanding why you personally see it as a bigger deal idk but that always annoys me when people pick apart the smallest of details as if they had no intention of simply enjoying a video game at all they go into it as if they are specifically looking for problems to talk about no matter how miniscule they might be.

  8. This game and Resident Evil 7 are trash bruh, nothing but garbage Outlast clones. That shitty P.T. demo that Snoy Kojima fanboys was shilling was trash too. You know a system is a dud when they shill for a repetitive corridor walking sim. The only thing that could save the horror genre is another Project Zero/Fatal Frame.

  9. Sorry, but Heisenberg said that he was “…gonna murder that boulder-punching asshole.” Best game ever, 10/10.

EDIT: and speaking of Boulder-puncher, seeing him jacked as hell again seriously warmed my cold heart. I’m a simple man.

  10. I just feel like resident evil is becoming a cheesy monster movie that everybody will forget about overtime and if rose has some kind of special powers don’t try to sell me a horror game in the sequel they tried so hard to make Ethan as badass as they possibly could and the most they did for re8 was add a bunch more guns and didn’t give Ethan any powers garbage in my opinion. So I’m guessing rose is the female Albert wesker???? Capcom is definitely capping I just think u can’t have a story game and be lacking on the actual story.

  11. Well, it may be a mess but atleast it isn't boring, right?
It seems this is more like a tribute to RE and Capcom had fun making it like RE6, but tried to be more serious than funny this time.

  12. Just beat it. I actually really, really enjoyed this game. While the points you raise didn’t bother me a bit on the first playthrough, they are definitely going to hamper the replay value.

EDIT: actually yeah, going back to the doll grave was obnoxious. That was the only thing that legit annoyed me.
