  1. Hmm or this behavior could still be related or reinforced by the performance issues that were introduced by windows updates kb5000842 and kb5001330. Even the KIR-hotfix didnt work for everyone so the fps-drops could to a certain extent- also be windows-related right now.

  5. Works perfectly on the GTX 1060 with a fourth generation I5! I only had performance drops in the vampires at the beginning of the game, all the graphic options were at the top with the exception of volumetric light that I left in the middle! ran from start to finish at 60fps 1080p, one of the best ports of recent years

  6. I wish you had tested the game with an AMD 6000 series GPU for comparison with the Nvidia GPUs. This was an AMD sponsored title, so I'm curious if Capcom made any AMD-specific optimizations/implementations. I think the AMD sponsorship is the reason for the low ray count RT; it makes it so the AMD 6900xt (maybe the 6800xt?) can play the game at 4K native, 60 FPS and appear to run the game as well as an Nvidia 3090/3080. (I have an AMD 6900xt and the game runs near flawlessly for me. I didn't experience the weird frame drops during the daughter fly swarms.)

The PC comparisons need to start including Nvidia and AMD benchmarks, especially when RT is a major subject and in the case of obvious console ports. Only analyzing the performance with Nvidia (or only with AMD) isn't a comprehensive analysis.

  7. Honestly, I think half the scenes look better WITHOUT Ray tracing. I really think we're pushing for the last 1%. I say forget it and just put more effort into gameplay.

  8. Currently playing through it on PS5. It’s not great, but isn’t bad or boring either. It honestly feels like an Outlast 3, but with an added mechanic of being able to defend yourself this time around lol. Nothing scary, but action with puzzles and a little stealth sprinkled in. A solid 7/10 and I’m not going higher πŸ˜….
