Resident Evil has come along way since the PS1 days. Capcom have managed to turn the franchise around recently when it was getting a bit samey. Really looking forward to playing this little gem (with the lights on)

If it's "damn close" to being as good as RE4, then this is a sleeper hit.
Because 5, 6, and 7 were good but fell short in many ways.
RE2 Remake was exceptional, but it was a REMAKE.
RE 3 Remake didn't even try.
RE Village may be the best Resident Evil in recent memory.

As a day one resident evil fan from PS1
I was not nearly as excited for this game as I wanted to force myself to be.
I've watched several reviews now and still I was trying to force myself to be hype about playing this Friday. This review genuinely gave me exactly the ammunition I needed to buy this bad boy Friday morning! Bravo sir
