As gamers we should be very concerned that this type of game with all it’s scripted garbage, simplistic puzzles, constant frame dropping, boring boss fights, lack of atmosphere, lack of horror, poor voice acting, rubbish enemies, werewolves that look more like animal from the muppets, rinse and repeat zones, average graphics and very short campaign can sell for £50 and have the entire gaming press swooning over it’s magnificence. Sadly most gamers are not one bit concerned, in fact they lap this up like a dog drinking water which is why for the foreseeable future we will be shovelled more tripe like this and charged through the nose for it, sad times.

i guess 94% steam means nothing and we're all stupid for loving this game. I guess i didn't have fun. fyi RE has never been scary get over it.
This game was a disappointment. If you expect a game like RE 7 then forget it. They tried to mix RE 7 and RE 4/5 but they failed because the pacing in this game is fuking broken. Sure, the game starts alright in the village setting and in the castle was cool (when you first see the village and castle you think that the castle will play a big part but it is just a very small section which is kinda sad). I also enjoyed the 3rd part, it felt like P.T. and different, but, after that, it feels like the game was rushed. Most boss fights were garbage. The Heisenberg boss fight was a big letdown (also what the fuck is that factory setting, it feels misplaced in the game). I was ok with the backtracking in RE 7 because it made sense and rewarding but in this one, it justs feels annoying somehow. Also, without spoiling it, there is a part that you feel like you are playing COD WTF? and it felt so stupid (I think they were trying to please the FPS fans there). Some parts of the map felt rushed and out of place. A lot of textures do not load and cuts off the immersion. FPS drops a lot of time. The ending was one of the worst endings I ever experienced in a video game. In my opinion, Capcom used the hype from their previous games (RE 2 and RE 7) just to make some more money and now they are turning to the dark side (like EA, Ubisoft, etc). AAA gaming industry is dying and it is our fault.

Cant stand Horror games. There not fun, ive never liked this series in particular. There always cluncky and annoying to play with just jump scares galore. euch no thanks. But thats just subjective opinion. Im sure some people like this style of game. This might be the first one i can actually play. Maybe in a steam sale.
Overrated
If you choose easy difficulty and dont actually have to struggle with having no ammo, and enemies not dodging anything, then ofcourse it gets stale. Resident evil (the good ones) suspense has always been lack of ammo in the past and thats the deal here too. But yeah i agree on alot of points, altho i must say resident evil puzzles have always been easy.
I can't believe I used to take this guy seriously. I tried this on 3 different systems. One with a 1080 at 1080p, one with a 2060 @ 1080p and one with a 3080 @1440p and never had a single frame drop it crash. If you played through the game you'd realize Ethan has these regenerative abilities because of his exposure to the mold in re7. The story is actually more well thought out and interesting than the last few games as well. I'm not saying the game is perfect but it dosent deserve anything close to the flak your giving it.

This is probably the single worst review for any game I've ever heard. Lots of nit-picking and basically getting mad at a videogame for being a videogame. Also how can you even say Ethan is a pussy? dude doesn't even know he has his mold powers so it's understandable he'd be afraid in this situation. Complaining about Lady D not going in the save room when Mr. X did the the EXACT same thing in RE2 is a HUGE hypocrisy since you praise it IN THIS REVIEW. You even make fun of the fact that you have to open an inventory menu to get your weapons, AGAIN WHICH YOU DO IN RE2. Your review is all over the place and clearly has no script either.
Game was pretty mediocre overall. I'd rather play RE4 again.
