There is another hidden boss like this at benevento's grave where you can get her treasure
It says on the diary of the mutated guy: “I wonder if it had anything to do with that man that stayed here all those years ago.” he was referring to Spencer the founder of Umbrella. No Mother Miranda, her 4 loyal children and the village is older than umbrella. If you remember were you go to Mother Miranda’s lab, you’ll get to see her diary there plus the letter from Spencer. In Mother Miranda’s diary she said that she lost her daughter “Eva” from the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918, and because of that she wanted to commit suicide by going to the cave, but she discovered the “Cadou Parasite” that gave her powers. She then had a motivation and idea to use it to resurrect her daughter Eva and help the villagers to cure the plague. She became motivated in studying science and medicine using nature specially the Cadou, she studied for many years until she became a Plague doctor (which you can see on the credit scene pictures story were she injected the villagers).
Then she continued with her project in reviving her daughter Eva but needed a host but there was no perfect host in the villagers, that even the 4 Lords had side effects on their bodies. Then one day she met this man named Spencer and sought for her advice about the Cadou and virus study, Mother Miranda taught the man and considered him as her apprentice, but later vanished by leaving the village. Then after many years there was this mysterious organization who approached her to voluntarily help her revive Eva, they asked for the sample of the Cadou Parasite and Eva’s dna, and Mother Miranda gave it to them, but little did she know they were jut being opportunist. After many years the mysterious organization was actually the “Connections” and they used the Cadou + Eva’s dna to create Eveline that caused the Louisiana incident (Bakers).
Then on the letter from Spencer, he noted he wanted to thank Mother Miranda, he apologize for not saying goodbye in person and he wanted to thank Mother Miranda and the villagers for her hospitality, he also thanked Mother Miranda for teaching him about the viruses and plagues, and that Miranda for being a good Mentor to him. Spencer also told that he was inspired of Mother Miranda and so he will be establishing a corporation about virus and medicine and that he will use the emblem he saw in the cave as the official logo of the company he will establish. Spencer on his last note said that he has a good news, he discovered this new virus in Africa and he will call it the progenitor virus (giving homage to the first Resident Evil virus).
