Resident Evil Village Video Review

The sequel to Resident Evil 7 leans heavily on Resident Evil 4’s brand of action, but adds its own sensibilities to the mix.

Phil Hornshaw scoured the ramshackle houses and strange environs of Resident Evil Village for about 12 hours on PlayStation 5, which included blasting off quite a few lycan heads in The Mercenaries. Review code was provided by the publisher.

  1. What everyone getting the game on? I'm conflicted between ps5 or pc. Would love to get some feedback on how well the demos ran on these two platforms. I missed allof the demos sadly

  2. I only watched the first 2 and a half minutes because he started telling me the story and what happens to the main character which I don't think should be in a review, I think anything story based should be left alone so that the player can enjoy that experience for themselves, it just isn't the same if you know what is going to happen

  3. For reference- when reviewing a hotly anticipated game there are things you need to cover. Like the games graphics, sound, voice acting, gameplay, and fun factor. If said game is is im a series it is perfectly acceptable to compare and contrast between the different entries to the new one. What is not okay is giving the entire beginning sequence away within the first 2 minutes of the video. Thank God for independent reviewers as Gamebolt actually did a phenomenal job covering RE8 with very minimal spoilers…I would suggest going there right now. As for me, I'm stopping this spoiler fest at 2:30 as I would like some surprises when I pick this up Thursday night.

  4. I feel 9/10 may be pushing our luck here but I LOVE what I'm seeing but I hope we get to play as another character again in this main campaign. Excellent graphics and great work Capcom

  5. movements are not real, just take a look at lycan's movement and you will notice the lacking of their movement physic specially movement of their foot, in 5:57 also you can see the wings of those vampires goes through wall, not satisfying to see these, i mean it's 2021 man, seems physics has some serious problems in this game, graphics also is not that great as they mentioned!!

  7. Y'all should stop crying about action in resident evil games. There was nothing wrong with 6. Imagine crying about action sequences in a videogame. If you just want horror go watch a scary movie. Mofos be crying about using guns in a zombie game.
