So would the PS4 back attachment for controllers be banned then? You can map different buttons to it, but it doesn't do any of the extra stuff like a strike pack
you can tap-strafe with mouse wheel that isn't a macro it's literally a keybind in the game.
That’s bullshit about the macro some mouse wheels spin like a fidgetspinner and some barely spin at all a macro that was has the same input spammed isn’t that bad now if you were to macro a whole slide jump with a tap strafe and a wall jump at the end I see the issue but w being spammed 5-7 times in a second …….. for me it’s another sad day in apex when another advanced movement technique get locked away all because some controller pros can’t track a tap strafe like wtf your not supposed be able to hit every shoot all the time….. looks like it’s going to be a stale boring algs…. worst part is you can actually tap strafe on a controller I was board and Top one of my viewers and he was able to follow instructions and put in the right inputs on his controller and was tapped straffing right in front of me in the firing range all it takes is practice and understanding the inputs like when u hit crouch to slide let go of move stick turn in the direction u wanna go and spam foward on the stick easy Shit but it’s easier to make content for some people because when they love to bitch about everything instead of taking time to learn something new and getting better

Last I checked I was tap strafing all day just for fun
So get rid of heat shields and leave self res in the game that makes sense

I kinda like that they make macros and scripts disallowed, but keep the mechanic in game still gets to exist. It's possible to do manually like we did in TF , but I was actually worried abt them removing it
i felt like the heat shields were supposed to be there for the competitive scene. removing them would be cancer and ppl would stay with the same strategy: zone camping.
Does anybody know if you won’t be allowed to play if you’re using a strike pack just for the extra buttons, in the normal game I mean not algs
I think they respect tap strafeing. They dont allow macros to replicate it because they know it is difficult to perform correctly, so if you are able to perform one, you do get an advantage, but respectfully, because you are skillful enough to perform one.
If you have a modern keyboard and mouse and you can’t do tap starves I’m sorry but you don’t have the skill. I think myself as average or a bit over average player (1.3kd) and as soon as I learnt Tap strafe then I was doing it all the time

I had no idea people were using scripts to tap-strafe. I always use the scroll wheel.
They should remove the heat shield from ranked. whole point is to learn positioning and move with the zone and get punished for sitting out side of zone because you decided loot for 20 mins or not pay attention to zone and run in the wrong direction.. and Especially end game. I learned at the beginning when I first started playing from dying out of the zone or taken fights for to long and getting caught from zone. theres many examples. But from that now I'm positioning my self better, where to be when to move and taken better fights.

Nothing sadder than a hacker or strike pack user that still gets their ass kicked.
