  1. Thank you for the great analysis! I am curious to see how these changes will affect the popularity of Exsanguinate + Seismic Trap builds for Yasuo players in the future.

  2. I've read the unofficial 12.3 patch notes yesterday, and im excited for the item changes. Will maw of malmortius be playable or even good first time in 10 years? Is botrk rush renekton back? When will it be correct to buy steraks? When will be it be correct to buy deaths dance?

If there's any place to get the precise answers to those questions, it would be your channel.

  3. I find it weird to compare winrates of patches and taking all ranks. When some changes were clearly aimed at higher levels of play.
Irelia is of course balanced in gold. Talon is of course balanced in gold. Or even weak even before the nerf. Yone is of course balanced in gold.
Maybe there were also no changes in winrate because of the patch. But this analysis probably did nothing to clear that up.
It is fine to take all ranks. But in the case of talon and qyiana. Well, you see nothing. Why, I wonder?

  4. An interesting thing I would like to see, though it might not be too practical, is to compare the winrate changes of a nerfed or buffed champ to the winrate changes of a similar champion that fits the same sort of role to just have a pseudo control group. Now I get League champs are actually pretty damn diverse but for example if Leona got nerfed we could compare her patch winrate change to the patch winrate change of Thresh or Naut (tanky frontline with a dive in skill shot). Sometimes that comparison might be meaningless but I like numbers.

  5. 10:03 Yasuo and Yonne are some of the most popular champs in the game. So when I play an even slightly off-meta champ against them, I almost certainly have more experience in the matchup. Not because I have greater mastery of MY champ, because I have been exposed to THEIR champ at such a high rate.

  6. I was surprised to see you pegged Janna at 52% WR, in Plat+ she is at 54.95% for 12.2 (though its almost 56% running glacial). Hrm, I think I see where you got your data from, you used all ranks. Janna seems heavily stratified by rank, she is excelling in the high elo's and doing average in low elo (50% in iron to 55% in diamond+, with a steady increase in WR by rank tier). Anyway I'm expecting a nerf to Janna due to her performance in high elo, at least a slight adjustment. It might be more of a problem with the glacial rune however, not exactly sure. Do you have some data on Glacial overall?

  7. I love this.
I'd like to see more follow ups to patch notes.
It's enjoyable to see how my predictions match up with the data.
I look forward to seeing how the 12.3 item changes land.

  8. Great video, always love your input and recaps. Can you explain why Tahm bot is hard bound to Senna support? I've seen that she is the support pick in about 95% of his bot games in gold and above, but I'm not sure why. Obviously there is a ton of synergy with keeping a marksman bot and the constant slows, but surely she isn't the only one who can lane with Tahm.

  9. 10:03 champs like yasuo and yone are NOT balanced when they sit at 50% WR. Riot constantly talked about this with lee sin/akali etc. And now yasuo and yone are balanced despite their "high skill floor and high skill ceiling" at 50%???
You cant have it both ways. You either accept that these champs need to sit at 46% winrate overall or you balance them for the masses at 50% wr but cut away from their skill ceiling. Choose.

  10. Mr Phreak don't try to convince us that Yasuo and Yone are balanced because they have a 50% WR. They are literarly played by everyone, even in Bronze Elo and especially Yasuo is a quite hard champion, 50% WR is too much. 50% WR on Irelia is not the same as 50% WR on Garen and you know it.
