In February, BioWare and EA announced a massive overhaul update called Anthem 2.0 for their looter-shooter, Anthem. Almost a year later, how is the game doing?

Yooooo I MADE IT IN THE VIDEO. WHATS UP TIMBO
Lol I just redownloaded anthem and then this popped up in my suggestions, but I do like this game a lot but it sucks how devs don’t put any effort into their games anymore.
Bungie care less next to nothing about Cheaters
You’re not even legit to review a game
I… Honestly didn't mind the game I actually thought it was pretty fun
Update EA is deciding this week if anthem 2.0 is done or not
I bought this on sale on PSN a few months back, and I think mechanically and control wise it's really good. However the fascade of hiding the same missions under a 'different' mode quickly became apparent. The lack of end game or PvP made it an obvious choice to uninstall. Even for loot I used the same two high level guns for over half of my playtime(all the main game and multiple runs of the strongholds and side missions) and never found anything better, no need for new weapons to kill the same level enemies for inferior rewards.
1:14 'what has happened to anthem Since bioware announced anthem 2.0? Nothing!' that should have been the video 😂
cant see shits
Can is still get my money back?
Imagine how much cooler Anthem would be without shouldered weapons and if all the weapons were part of your suit. That right there is the first thing I noticed and the first sign this game was gonna bomb. No reason to have shouldered weapons when you’re literally a man-sized mech chassis. It shows how creatively devoid this game is.
I have to say, i actually liked the game
I was just talking to my boy yesterday about this and for literally 30 minutes we couldn’t figure out the name of the game 😂😂😂
これみてまたアンセムやりたくなった。
i honestly forgot this game even existed.
edit: i wrote this comment before i even got to the point where you said "you may have forgot this game existed"
one of the biggest problems was… the loot… they fixed it by MISTAKE and everyone was happy then they "fixed their mistake" and the loot and loot rates was "back to normal" which was bad, the fact that people found out that you can cheese the game with first weapon didn't help the case back then
I would definitely give Anthem another try. The world was super interesting, just not enough activities and when I bought it, too many glitches.
Anthem is the reason i bought my first console ever(ps4) a couple of weeks before release. After it released and saw how much a dumpster fire it was i never bought it but i got myself all the ps4 exclusives and was soo happy,in some way i am grateful for Anthem because it pushed me to finally buy the console.
Pretty funny you make this video then a report just came out that EA will be making a decision soon to axe the project or continue investing money into Anthem.
Is Anthem worth picking up and trying out?
Was supposed to be the next Diablo. Pfft. Stick with what works. Top down rpg. But no. Shut this piece of crap down. Get a brand new IP.
Anthem could of been so good if the land actually has more fucken monster and not just 4 people per free roam. Bigger world. The intro story quest was very good but then the story kind of died.
Well…this is aging fairly well
I love the look of Anthem , never played it , is it worth getting it ?
Please let me know 🙏
Playing anthem was a lot of fun, honestly I really enjoyed flying above the battlefield raining lightning down on my enemies. the downside was there was no reason to do it after a point. No loot, no story, about two "strikes" a game like this lives and dies on its endgame and it seemed like no one had given it a minutes thought.
Anthem should have been released in December 2022 with all updates. On Playstation 5 and XBOX series X only not on s or Playstation 4 or XBOX one.
to the people mad at Cyberpunk: at least the game would load something. I wanted this game to be amazing…still soo sore about this
“Anthem is in good hands”, as in none
seen one trailer for this game once, never heard from it again, is it just walmart destiny?
Anthem only has one problem which basically makes it unplayable. The movement. Strafing. Walking. Running. Jumping. Movement.
Anyone knows whats will happen to the free downloaded games from ps plus to the ps4 once sony stops the servers service???
I refuse to buy games that are unfinished at launch. Even if they improved the game significantly ive already lost interest. Im tired of publishers rushing games out the door expecting to make a quick buck.
I would buy this game if they do something for it.
Game still lags and is just unplayable. Hopefully they can sort out their servers
Global agenda 2.0
Gah, thanks for trying dude. Genuinely want(ed) Anthem to do well! The ground work IS ALL THERE – IRON MAN SUITS MAN!….sigh…
Maybe the people from outriders will learn from the people that made anthem.
So we all sued cd projekt red but not this poop. I couldn't even play past the first two mission due to game issue
The game had so much potential flight movement guns just never was updated and smoothed out of bugs sucks alot of potential wasted
STILL hate the goat feet.
CDPR is the new BioWare. CP77 the new anthem. Never thought I’d see the day.
I'm so sorry. I was ready to dive into Anthem for a lot of content, made alerts, had assets…got rid of them shortly after it was released and a rolling trainwreck into a boat into a nuclear plant.
It might be cool but its empty on the inside
it DIED on Release
We shall see this week if EA gives the ok signal to BioWare to continue the 2.0 Version or scrap the game
Loaded up the game on my PlayStation 4 yesterday…. it’s still stuck in the Christmas update from 2019
I had forgotten about Anthem… This reinforces the point I made about CP2077. People are dumping on CDPR, but somehow people give a free pass to EA. At least I could refund CP2077, Anthem is still the purchase that I regret the most.
