VALORANT is your global competitive stage. It’s a 5v5 tac-shooter matchup to plant or defuse the Spike in a one-life-per-round, first to 13 series. More than guns and bullets, you’ll choose an Agent armed with adaptive, swift, and lethal abilities that create opportunities to let your gunplay shine.
Creativity is your greatest weapon.

Any news about a map selector?
Tarik ain’t gonna be happy
stupid change, what if u want duelist but then first 4 picks duelist, its stupid, it will make people mald and dodge when they see their agents get picked first
this will only make dodging and toxicty worse
Well if they’re fixing it, that means there’s gonna be a timer to select agent. Doesn’t that mean people will still instalock waiting for the time where it hits 0 so they can select?
They should’ve went role selection like League picking a lane before queuing. That way if you pick duelist role, you will have your chance to pick any duelist role you wanted. Then Riot can just adjust role balancing on each team but I’m pretty sure it’s going to fuck up the queue waiting time if everybody only goes for one role.
Just an idea here.
This is so terrible… I don't know where they got this idea from. Toxicity comes from people taking ranked too seriously and having anger issues.
Adding fuel to the fire lmao
They fixed this in league I'm wondering why they are not implementing it in val. The pick order goes from top to bottom and if players grief the select screen you can report them.
they need to do make it like siege when you pick your locked in but you can change anytime you want and not permanently locked in. its the best and most fair way
As someone who always fill, im bing chillin
You will always have toxic people trying to get Jett or Reyna bc they are the easiest agents to frag with. It’s that simple. The only way to fix instalocking those agents is to either balance them more, or give incentives to players who play support agents. Maybe at the start of each act, tier the agents and adjust xp and RR per agent, so the guy that plays Sage or KJ gets +4 (or whatever amount) RR per ranked game, so instead of +14, they get +18, and instead of -14 they get -10. Then you could have another tier of like, Sova, Brim, Astra, and Omen that are +3 or 2, and leave agents like Jett and Reyna alone. So it would incentivize players to become more proficient with support agents, and cause then to be played more in Ranked.
i would rather see riot finish up the replay system than to fix instalocking problems. Riot is just fixing issues that they think will make ppl happy, as they think adding important things that actually help the players in a competitive esport, are not gonna make as many ppl happy.
This idea sounds like something a silver player would think of… it's not going to be a well-received patch.
The current situation is the best one cause imma keep troll picking shit agents so other players dodge or I do idc I’m not here to win I’m here to lock Jett and fuck around
Just nerf Jett dash range. Busted ability in a FPS
ay that's good
Bro this is gonna lead to such long queue times though… Gonna be like league where you have to wait 10 minutes for everyone to pick. Then someone leaves right at the end and it's 25 minutes before you even get into a game. Just let the dude instalock and play your game. He's not gonna be in your next game…
I think riot need to fix on lose and win game point, i mean like they should have a more standardised system for losing and winning points.
Fix the "precise gunplay" first..
Valorant should add a banning system for agents so they could ban broken agents
Its easy, if u play ranked be ready to fill in, if u just wanna play what u want go unrated and dodge if needed there. This is a fair process and also fair for losing rr when dodging. I mean ranked is competitive and for people to reach a certain accomplishment, worth or not.
I think the best way to fix instalocking is make the role system like in DOTA, when u choose what role u gonna play and start the game on ur role. Everything will depend on the role you play, do you want to play duelists? Wait 5-6 minutes to start playing, and if you play on controller, you will find the game in 10-30 seconds
they could have just made it so after you pick an agent there is no lock button, until all 4 have chosen their agents, if any agents match then you can talk it out, and when like 3-4 people vote to enter the match the agents get locked in and boom you're in a match
Cant wait for the "if you pick jett im throwing"
