Great. My profile is nobody else's business. This is how it should be.
Since dodging is the biggest problem in the game right now, this paired with stiff leaver penalties should have a positive impact. he important thing is to make sure this shields stats from the API as well so third party sites cant see it.
The MOBA smite had this since the beginning

I can’t see this being bad or good objectively…. On one hand inters and smurfs are safe but on the other hand people can’t spread fud in the beginning of the game. I mean you can’t dodge more than 2x anyway. I think lol community is so toxic that even posing ideas to fix the problem all sounds bad.I wish people would use that same energy to devise problems to help the community.
But this is so stupid no ? Wtf is the point of this ? There’s still plenty of apps where u can check players most people use the apps anyway…And isn’t this just helping Elo Boosters ? Not that I really care tho

This is gonna help so much if names are provate too in high elo when someone wants to target int (which happens very often in master+ believe me)
Riot probably will still have full access to all players information, so if someone is indeed trolling/ragging/etc they can still be punished as usual.
an invisible state other than online/away/offline would be cool
Should also hidd your info from any third party site too imo. Those things just have way too much power (why isnt that info available on the client while loading up the game is beyond me, would be so much easier and more control of what info should be released to other players)

mmmmm random advice, try not to have files on the desktop but shortcuts :S the more you put on your desktop the slower the PC will ran because it overloads the RAM 🙂 Shortcuts are fine 😀

this will be a good change and the team working on these changes, including /all chat and dodge penalties knows what it's doing
This type of change is great. It busts tracker sites so that people can't snipe your poor match history, but it may just shift to "if you're private, you're hiding something, so dodge"

I like being able to use porofessor while loading in and plan games accordingly. So I'd rather that not go away. Luckily people were too lazy to turn off all chat to the point Riot almost stepped in and did it for them. So I doubt most of those people will even realize this is a thing when/if it goes live.

Okay well boosters and inters will be 10x harder to find out. If your teamate is off role / first time you will have no idea either. Atleast the 1000 game bronze yasuo won't have their feelings hurt.
Now they need to make this default on.
Anything that reduces the effectiveness of the "your % chance of winning this game" apps even lower than they already are the better. Those apps already make you lose more games than you win and with this the app makers can't just look up all the data they need on everyone. They'll need to take data from volunteers which is much less reliable.
