Today, let’s talk about a league of legends game mode that riot spent years creating and working on, only for people to not play it that much. Why did they spend years on this mode? What issues does it have? What makes Nexus Blitz fun? This history of Nexus Blitz is written, produced, edited, and voiced by Kellen (Exil)

For those of you who didn't know, I've made a 2nd channel for different types of League content. I have a new video on there about interesting and cool mechanics as a guide to help you out! Go show the channel some love and hope you enjoy the content on both channels <3 https://youtu.be/tMBkEhNSvMc
The thing I didn't like about nexus blitz is the stupid events that kept interrupting. When I am playing league I just want to play, I don't want league to force me to do something I didn't want to do eg, "ooh the scuttle crab was summoned now you all have to fight over it". The forced "teambuilding" experience and forced encounters/randomness just doesn't work well. The encounters are annoying enough in games like Pokemon but in competitive games like League they're on another level of obnoxious.
what, nexus blitz is by far my favourite thing in LoL infact i prefer it over the slog fest of summoners rift
They should have just rereleased Twisted Treeline. Never update it, have all the old champs and items be the same, and just leave it there as this weird artifact. Twisted Treeline was always my favorite mode, and partially because it was out of date and a little weird. Maybe the reason nobody wanted to get into Nexus Blitz super hardcore was because Riot is known for getting rid of beloved game modes. If you look at Nexus Blitz like you'd look at URF, then it isn't worth spending any time getting good at because they'll probably just phase it out in a few months. If it's more complicated than URF or ARAM, then it needs to offer some guarantee that it'll be permanent like Summoner's Rift.
I liked dominion more
My favorite is the blood moon one
I feel like riot is basically like teachers that keep motivating you with grades and are surprised the moment you don't want to do anything that won't give you good grades. Like "We're removing Twisted Treeline because we want to focus on the competitive side of League"; "We're removing the Cristal Scar because we want to focus on the competitive side of League". Then they release a new game mode and they're like "Why isn't anyone playing our new game mode?"
It's a priority to take the prototype and turn it into an actual sport, a fusion of robot wars and augmented reality. Think of the shift from other eSports.. So no rush to dollar shuffling
Pokémon Unite is just a tweaked version of Dominion
I miss 3v3 and dominion and I still dont get it why riot removed the modes, even if "nobody" played them (which is not true) so what? Why remove it?
Why the fuck does brasil have so many normal games?
Nexus is amazing. I just wish they'd rotate the games modes a bit more often.
Make Nexus blitz permanent or please make another mode that involves two versus two duels like the ones in Nexus splits where you start at level three. I am an Aram only player and it's nice to be able to select my champion once awhile in a mode that I like
Do you guys not have phones
Make hide and seek a gamemode
as a jungler what i disliked most about nexus blitz was that there's another person with me. depending on someone just seems so counter to what junglers are all about in the base game. also i got soured pretty quick when i realized that most of the cool stuff i wanted to try wouldn't work if i'm getting hard stomped by a funnel yi or kayle and basically every game at a point had turned into that
if riot wanted nexus blitz to be fun just put every item in the game at its most broken iteration. league is more fun when all the items are busted af.
Just mKe urf permanent
I miss TT…
When I came back to league and saw Nexus Blitz, the minigames made me think it was a joke game mode and it didn't cross my mind to consider it competitively. That and also their history of cycling alt game modes away without giving them a second thought. We've been conditioned to not get attached to alt modes.
I miss dominion so such still :S
Nobody plays Nexus Blitz because people are f***ing stupid, and Riot needed/needs to advertise it more.
Like they did with TFT
