So this takes place in the game but instead of the both of the brothers going only cuphead went the the casino. So the devil made a deal he said,” If you win you can have all the loot in my casino, but if I win I get a tiny sip of that liquid in your head” cuphead agreed and he lost. So the devil took a sip and then he had the urge to keep drinking it. Then he dranked all of it. And cuphead died. But then he wanted more so he sent his monster to go get all the cups in the world. Mug man woke up from his nap and wandered where cuphead was. Then he saw foot steps. He was gonna follow them but then elder kettle gave some of the potion to him and then he went to to follow the footsteps. Then he arrived at the casino. He goes into the devils room to see cuphead lying on the and the devil having liquid on his mouth. Its up to mugman to save the day.
Btw this lore is made up by me but not official so yeah.
Mugman must have the goggles from the cuphead show.

Devil finally abandoned the silly nature of cartoon and goes full cruel mode, easily killing cuphead. Now Mugman is left to fight for his life, with no way to restart it
