Hey everyone, welcome to the channel for another Escape From Tarkov video, this time featurg a fun, off-meta build that I’ve been really enjoying lately: a short, 11” CQB-focused SA-58 build!
It doesn’t have the best stats, but it sure does look nice, and it’s pretty satisfying to drop some PMC;s with this thing. I hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think down in the comments!

You can get almost this exact build from Mechanic for 8 weapon parts. Absolutely worth it
I just recently have tried out the .308 MDR with a Lantac Dragon+BMD, and boy does it shred. I just don't know why I didn't use it before, maybe BMD just couldn't be installed on the MDR?

This gun is so funny looking
Hum, if you simply take the weapon-part-trade from Mechanic for that short SA-58 and just put the Lantac BMD, any laser and any optics plus the Shift grip, you end up with about the same ergo (even with 50-rounder), but a tad more recoil (115 in my case) for just around 150-160k fully equipped with 50-rounder.
This fun build is actually better than my usual go-to ASH-12 setup in every way possible, which is cool, but do concern me to WTF was I doing this whole time.

I love using a shorty sa-58 because of the drum mags. If only the 308 DT MDR could use them.

I've killed hundreds of meta players with this gun. SOLID tip if you will use short SA-58: do not use 30-round or drum magazines

Beautiful. Seems to work like a harder hitting bp ak103. Your vertical recoil seems really low for a gun with 102, is that just your pmc skill knocking it down?
pretty much any weapon firing M61 will give you a pretty damn good chance of winning fights.

I use the RK 1-2 grips with the pmac 20
And if I use the fortis shift grip the 30 rounders. It’s a good balancing but ~ 100 recoil is though. But actually it’s good for the gungame that hvy calibers got hvy recoil. If they limit 556 and 545 to ~ 50 recoil I’ would be pretty happy

I love short range high damage rounds, the el-cheapo version is the VPO-209 with .366 AP. So cheap that you cannot be mad to lose it on death.
My first fatty kill was with the 11inch SA-58 build, i spammed M80 rounds into his chest until they went through. I was lvl 13 and i got the SA-58 from a scav run and decided to use it for CQB.
Still this weapon kicks like a mule.. Not good for open spaces.. Only good at cqb..

I was just thinking earlier this week that if you're running a full auto 7.62×51 weapon you need to be super aggressive and this helps accomplish that nicely, good vid!
This is my first build in Tarkov, when I was level 5 or smth. Almost killed chad with this thing.
