Hey Chaps, done some reading. This is not a conventional NVMe. Its a unique design that cannot be copied. You cannot use anything else to have extra storage and seamless game play. Sure you can save on external storage and faff around transferring it across. But the whole point is convienence. Gen4 MVMe is anywhere from $180 to $220 if its TLC. This type is unique. So seamless game play this is the only option if the internal is not enough. Also remember of you try and build xbox or ps5 with pc parts the true cost is $1k or more consoles are loss leaders. They make their coin elsewhere.
