  1. The event that plays out in Icecrown is the most uncreative boring piece of content ever created for WoW. They literally copy/paste previous bosses, give them all the same generic Shadowlands abilities that actually do kill you and call it a day. I haven't seen a single zombie outbreak in the main capitals yet. What are the attacks on the outer cities for btw? Like, there is no reason to go there. Only thing worth mentioning is killing Nathanos. Not like it matters. They just didn't have the time to commit to a pre-patch while Shadowlands was slowely nearing it's release. I rather have a good expansion than a suffering one from too much attention for the pre-patch.

  2. Ok paused in first 3 min to answer on "Why people hate the rare farming". Its because you cannot possibly miss it. Not being able to lose brings bad taste. The clearest example – Warfronts. You cant lose = no fun. You always get the rares therefore rewards from them dont seem rewarding at all because you literally did nothing for them (also they are same skins as the original drops from the bosses so its not transmog farming either). Great to catch up on alts true. Its easy and its scheduled. But the lack of risk losing the loot just makes it boring. Thats why people dont like it. I dont too. Got my bag on the first day on 2nd rotation (aka was around icecrown for few hours) and never went there again.

  3. Here is how i would have made the pre event go. The gear you can buy for the currency should have been hands down a Wrath set recoler and there should have been Wrath era weapon recolrs , rep tokens and pets from the vendor. Next I would added an Allie or Horde themed ( depending on your faction) Protro Drake mount as a reward for a quest chain or maybe kill X number of what ever in IC zone. But being relatively easy to obtain.

AS far as the rares go i would have had liked to seen some chaos on this part let 4 or 5 spawn every 10 minutes , next have 2 or 3 rares along with dozens and dozens of elite mobs swarming into the Argent grounds on a regular basis keeping ppl on their toes. Lastly I would have had old world boss's spawning in the zone and have them go on a rampage not just standing in 1 spot chasing ppl down shooting them out of the air at 200 yards ect. This all might sound a bit extreme but ppl would remember it for years upon years

  4. I don't think one minute of gameplay every 20 minutes constitutes fast enough to keep you engaged. I have a legion of alts, and was looking forward to, not necessarily fully gearing, but getting maybe half a dozen upgrades for at least a few of my main/main alt choices for leveling. Taking 6 hours to run through the rares, getting an upgrade an hour for sitting there afk is not engaging content. The loot isn't useful for mains, people who have been gearing and raiding already, it's catchup gear. Make it like AB rares, quick respawns, can get drops once a day. People gearing up alts can run all the alts through, giving them something to actually do. Doing something seems like a better idea compared to afking for 98% of the hour.

  5. The craziest thing did between the Rare killings in Icecrown was porting, flying to Kul'trias and doing a quest. Then making it back to Icecrown to do the very next Rare that was up in the 20 mins in between.
I think Blizz kinda miss the chance to have the Party G.R.E.N.A.D.E works like it should and in events like these to start a dance party for crown entertainment. Bring the party floor to Icecrown even.

  6. I still have not seen an invasion in the capitol city, but have done the Nathanos beat down, not bad. I am just doing what I can as I go along and don't stress about what I can not do…play on everyone

  7. They could double the rare spawn timer and it would be better. Make the nathanos WQ reset daily for trinkets + weapons. Most importantly way back when 9.0 released, they could have put the gladiator gear on a vendor for honor.

  8. BFA is my last expansion, SL looks disappointing and boring as fuck. Got a beta key and it saved me some money, ill be spending that on Cyberpunk 2077. Blizzard will never fix WoW, they will never find a good class balance and their content will be soulless and generic. I hope SL kills WoW because I dont want to keep thinking I love this game anymore, cuz I dont.

The presentation of Shadowlands is atrocious, the game world feels very small, the covenants are down right ridiculous and serve no fucking purpose other than a time gate for stuff you won't ever find relevant. Im sick of the systems on top of systems and currency for literally every one of those systems… I have always been a fan of the warcraft Ip, its story and characters, but as far as this game goes its lost me and it doesn't fill a void anymore, it just adds to it.

  9. You are absolutely right on the rare spawns being accommodating and the fan base being inconsistent. WoW players hate Blizzard as much as LoL players hate other players. Rather than try and find who the content is for, they look for why the content isn't for them and then talk about why that makes it bad/wrong. Its catch up gear, why do you think you need to farm this? It took me one afternoon to be decked in 100+ from 60s. This isn't a major patch, its a little thematic event that is something to do and get some little goodies before Shadowlands drops.

  10. I prefer a bad pre patch but a good expansion but the opposite.

It's frustrating because it's been forever since we've had any new content but SL is online so soon anyway who cares at this point

  11. I think the thing they really screwed up on is no new Gear mog. If they did I'd be all over this and trying to get the set. But since it's the same as the old crap. I don't see me playing again until SL comes out.

  12. If you think the lag in the game is bad in the event …just wait when the game launches. I expect that maybe I will not be able to log in for a few days which will put me behind in my guild just like it has done in the past. It's one of the reasons I can ever be on a raid team, ever again. I got bummed out leveling my new Fury Warrior in Dreanor. Suddenly it was not fun anymore.

  13. it's boring because the timer is to long. you fight a boss for 2 miuntes, go to the next spot and just stand there for 15 minutes. I suggest you watch something on a second monitor or set a timer

  14. I think the best part about this pre-patch for me on Moon guard is seeing the players come together helping,playing/questing in the game.
Would love to see more future game in like events that do this. Enticing community events!

  15. I don't really have an issue with the new rare farming system. It seems fine to me. But with that said, what I'm bored with is the lack of activities to do in between it. Farming scourgestones is a slog, a real slog. I think what's frustrating for me is how slow the catch up gear acquisition actually is. I've got 41 alts, I really can't no life to get them all geared. I have to triage and just pick my favorites in this case.
For comparison, the BfA pre-event was significantly faster. You just did the questline in darkshore, and then there were worldquests in the zone that dropped a piece of gear. That was a hell of a lot faster than the current system. A full rotation of rares will net you the full set of gear, but if you're doing no farming in between that (because the farming is mindless and boring) that's 6.6 hours of uninterrupted gameplay.
