hey Blizzard I have an idea:
Delete DK
I find i have actively lost 400-700 in almost every single target situation, 1.5-4k burst aoe i am ~50% mastery. It may sound logical in some point of view to nerf UH i can agree, but meanwhile the other more oppressive classes are not getting any nerfs. Already everywhere when people take a DK they are asking if UH or Frost, there is already a bias towards UH and now it is worse since burst aoe has been lowered significantly, this also affects sustained long term combat where you have to leave fights and let the pets do all the damage and CN has many of these. I saw the nerf coming because honestly UH was very strong, but when you look at the list of nerfs it does not make sense at all. Hell i am playing resto shaman secondary they even nerfed rain and chain heal, two super slow cast now super low heal and it makes no sense to reduce them by 10% while druid efflo has faster cast, longer duration, better healing power and better mana efficiency. So if we compare the nerf UH got to what other DPS classes have it is not good at all, i would have preferred seeing separate gains on dreadblade instead e.g @ 40 mastery give 36% shadow and 34% pet that would have made more sense to me.

Have you tested DW-Breath and 2h-Obli FDK in Castle Nathria? I´m playing NighFae and cant decide between those two in various fights. Dps seems very close to each other. Whats your opinion to #1 dps?

New to the channel so I’m unsure if you’re a PvE or PvP channel. With this change, do you believe our PvP stat priority will change to favor Versatility?
You may have said it in the video, but based on the math behind the 15% nerf, it's just a scaling thing that ends up being a ~5% overall damage reduction, and since we would still be a top spec because of that, I'm not worried.
I'm 100% more worried about the inaction taken on sub rogues, shadow priests, and MM hunters mainly. The outright refusal to rework any of these is ridiculous considering the fact that Unholy DK isn't clearing 15 keys week 1 unlike MM hunter, Unholy DK isn't doing 50% of someone's hp in rated arenas out of stealth with a single covenant ability (Sub Rogue or Aimed shot MM LOL). Plus Unholy doesn't have the sustain that a shadow priest does, while still doing relatively the same amount of damage.
Frankly, Blizzard jumped the gun on this and it's sad, seeing as we don't even know the raid environment until Mythic, and the ONLY reason they are nerfing Unholy is because of raiding, so ggs Blizz.

Nerf is now 20% on Mastery. This means ~7-8% overall nerf instead of ~5%
Soo is problem now We should Keep mastery on 50%????? or we need more then that? Like that we can have Some secendry stats — I think with [Frenzied Monstrosity] this legendry will restore some of nerf but at end unholys still tope!

This nerf doesn't effect Torghast at all, because the best button in the Unholy Toolkit in Torghast is the one that switches your spec to Blood right before you jump into the portal

how is it only a 7-8% nerf when all of our CDs are affected as well, which is when the majority of our damage comes in? I was thinking it was more likely a 10-12% overall nerf. We were very good, but I don't think we deserved that heavy of a nerf. I think 10% mastery nerf would have been more fair. Other classes still compete very well for the top of the charts against UDK pre nerf. Post-nerf I think we might be close to the top, but never the top on dps again.

Hey Bicep, thank you for the Wowhead guides and your videos. Just one question, I originally picked Venthyr as my covenant due to low CD on Swarming Mist as it allows me to use it during high m+ key add pulls. However, now with this nerf, I'm not sure if it's me or something else but I find that with Venthyr as my covenant my damage decreased a lot more than 8-10% as suspected with the 20% mastery nerf. As such, do you think Necrolord now provides more value than it originally did before the nerf, and do you recommend switching to Necrolord now given that we are at renown level 10-11 this week? Much thanks!
Hey there! Im playing Raids on Normal, so there is no need for me to min-max there. But in PvP it can be crucial to secure wins. I see a lot of UH DK's get haste over mastery, even before the nerf. While sims value Mastery more. Do you have any knowledge on why they would? Or do you specialize in PvE content? Thanks !

Did you try out the superstrain legendary it sounds fun and i wanna build it for blood offspec but im curious as to how much dmg it gives. I used the formulas for virulent and frost fever and multiplied by 0.625 but idk would it work like that
