  1. "aphelios doesn't count as a shapeshifter because all he does is switch his weapon, which completely changes his attacks"
    also vars
"Rek'sai is a shapeshifter because she can… burrow into the ground"
    ???????????????
Burrowed rek'sai isn't even a playstyle, it is a state, it is mobility utility. It is like if all Elise could do in spiderform was rappel, and move around up there and create webs in jungle to travel to.
Aphelios is more of a shapeshifter than Rek'sai will ever be.

  2. Well you see they are hard to design and in the case of Jayce is balanced in an out of date method where he surges mid game but falls off late which riot just does either carry or early game.

Plus let's get real they ran out of ideas

  3. i dont think shapeshifters were ever an issue. yea they have more abilities, but they arent "twice as many abilities" like everyone says. they get 3 normal abilities, and 3 extras, and no ult. its not like samira who can do EVERYTHING

  4. 1:45 eh. Viego not only changes his entire form he also copies the abilities. He is a shapeshifter and a copycat. The definition itself is to change one physical appearance. time limit ( not that you pointed that out I'm just saying) and rituals has nothing to do with shapeshifting either it's only that they can. Characters such as Rell, Kled, Aphel, Jace, reksai, etc. aren't shapeshifters ( rell armour shapeshifts so i kind of understand the argument for her but that is about it). Changing weapons is not a form of shapeshifting. Shapeshifting is limited to a physical appearance such as elise, Gnar, shyv, etc.. The change in abilities matters not.

  5. You guys that are saying that they won't do it because then they'll have to make two skins… I just returned to the game and I was an old Lux main… I literally just bought a skin that has 10 different forms

  6. I think it's also an issue of the number of animations and the difficulty of making skins for multiple forms. It's less efficient for them monetarily as well.

  7. What about a shapeshifter that has different ability scaling in the other form. Like in the meele form their abilities have HP, Armor and Magic Res. Scaling, and in the ranged form, their abilities scale with ad, ap and movement speed.

  8. Wouldnt sion technically count as a shapeshifter? similar to kled and gnar its a forceful transformation and unlike karthas he does get a new ability. Kog'maw i don't think would count
