  1. there are just too many vaguely similar games to this that failed (in my eyes) and this here seems to be tremendously over ambitious with how they plan on going up to commanding troops and waging war

it reminds me a bit of how spore wanted too many things at once and failed at all the later stages
I'm not saying it's bound to fail but I've not seen a single EA survival game with great ambitions that did actually deliver

  2. This is my first video of yours & I loved it, I subbed 🙂 I've sunk many hours into this game, invested time as a viewer of many (many) channels; and I went ahead and purchased it before the devs got back to me about my concerns I had because I liked the look of it, and I liked the direction it's going it.

My concern is the lack of communication from the devs on the Steam Discussion pages. If they are active on Discord (I don't know if they are or not, I haven't checked over the weekend) that's great, but in some of the bigger (& contentious) Steam threads, they're not there and it got quite unpleasant for some customers.

In saying that though – the game itself does look beautiful, it really is a 1PV of Banished+Wurm Online+Ostriv, with a great story woven into it. It does have some early game items missing (roads & paths; better-balanced tech items), UI problems, HUD customisation lacking, renaming items lacking, resolution options aren't great; lack of decorative pieces, etc – but, the core gameplay is there, and it's fun, but grindy. Perfect for killing time & getting lost in the wonderful world the devs have created.

I bought the game with the bonus digital content when it was on sale; would I pay full price? Not at the moment, simply because we don't have answers to important questions (not just me), and we're so early into dev work. But definitely pick it up when it's on sale & show some love!! <3

  3. 2:53 The Dynasty series games are not survival games, they are simulator games. Medieval Dynasty is the third in the series. Farmer's Dynasty was the first, Lumberjack's Dynasty was the second. And Trucker's Dynasty (Cuba Libre) will be the fourth. I haven't heard what Dynasty they have planned for their fifth in the series. I'm hoping it's a restaurant business or a railway company. Maybe a Wizard's Dynasty would be cool. Go from inheriting a run-down small book shop to owning a whole wizard university campus.

  4. As a veteran of survival games I disagree with your assessment of the inventory controls. I dislike click and drag when I can use a key instead. Most of the survival games I have played started without that option and were quickly fixed to include that or modded by the community. I don't have a stat on what gamers prefer here but my experience has been that your opinion is in the minority.

  5. There's another game like this (Kingdoms) i believe on steam and it has the features this game needs. The Ai will start building settlements and all that. Haven't played either tho haja

  6. its not really a survival game, more of building and establishing a
village of your own. The reason why its not survival is because if you
have money you can buy food, clothings, tools from vendor without need
    the skills to craft them.

  7. Should you pay $30 for an unfinished game? Lol. I'm making a great kick-starter medieval game. It'll be the best game ever. Send all your money now. I'm a very stable genius–vote for me too.

  8. Ancient British accents wouldn't have sounded anything like the current ones.. there's a good chance it even sounded like an American accent. The grammar/vocabulary would have been entirely different too, but nobody complains about that.

  9. The game is honestly pretty boring. I love survival games. But. This one doesnt really have much in it. You can build sure. But its a rather empty world. And it takes a long time to travel from one point to another.

  10. Im currently 12 hours into this game, it's a unique game and worth a buy in my opinion, it gives you that refreshing feeling of delving into a new world, you start as a legitimate peasant and may struggle but my money was well spent

  11. Is Medieval dynasty a survival game? Sort of for the first game year.

To me it's more a first person city builder/manager. I understand that repairing buildings, and getting rid of rotten foodstuff can be tedious.
Year 8 : 28 vilagers including 6 children. Hunting and foraging are just passtimes. And thanks god no fighting to speak of, There are enough fighting games on the market.

  12. Trust me, Resonant, you wouldn't want an authentic medieval narrator. If they were English it would be Middle English. You think Shakespeare is fun? Well, Shakespeare is actually Modern English. Middle English doesn't sound much like Modern English. Not only is it more German than today, but it's also more French. However, since we play as peasants in this game, I doubt we would hear many of the French Middle English phrases.

  13. The nights are even more creepy if you build a house in the southern pine forest. You'll hear the wolves and bears at night, and you'll jump every time you hear an animal run.

KCD is by far a better game, but I was always disappointed that it never had any hostile wildlife. It's, frankly, immersion breaking. I know for a fact that there were bears and wolves in medieval Czech forests. Also, KCD has boars, but they will never charge at you, no matter what.

I almost get the feeling that one of the guys at Render Cube had the same thought while riding through the Bohemian wilderness.

The perfect game for me would be KCD with MD's survival and building mechanics. A bigger map would be nice too (that goes dor both games). Obviously the village building/town management would be special to Pribyzlavistz, but through questing you could get permission to build a house from one of the local lords.
