Should You Buy Medieval Dynasty? – Full 30 Hour Gameplay Review

Medieval Dynasty is a three-dimensional simulator in the convention of action RPG with elements of survival and strategy created by Polish studio Render Cube. This is the second production of the Lodz team and completely different from its debut project: Monster League go-kart racing game from 2018. This time the Poles created a realistic production set in the Middle Ages, reminiscent of the Czech Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game is also another part of the Dynasty cycle of Toplitz Productions, although clearly different from its predecessors.

The main hero is a talented hunter, who for unknown reasons was banished from his home. Now he and his family must fight desperately to survive in a medieval world full of dangers.

The gameplay in Medieval Dynasty bring to mind the Kingdom Come Deliverance of the Czech Warhorse studio. The action is observed from the first person perspective (TPP), and the gameplay focuses on exploring the open world of the game. In it we can find NPCs who can give us various tasks, but also hostile bandits and wild animals. The beginning resembles typical survival games: we try to take care of the hero’s basic needs by providing him with water and food, hunting and farming. Over time, we find the materials we need to make our first tools and build a simple house that will provide us with shelter.

The main goal of the game is to create your own village, and over time to transform it into a prosperous city. In the game you will find 18 types of buildings, which you will be able to develop as you unlock the next options from the hero’s skill tree. The gameplay is varied by random events as well as the possibility of starting your own dynasty of magnates. This involves a special system of reputation, manifested in the king’s interest in our field. In any case, our decisions have a significant impact on the gameplay. Moreover, as the village develops, we will have to take care of the economy, trade with neighbors and take care of the well-being of the subjects.

This game seems right up my alley. I like the aspect of this sort of survival game.

Thanks for the video. I was actually avoiding most videos of this game awaiting your review or first gameplay.

Maybe when the game is complete….or even before then we can see a playthrough. At that point you will have some deep understanding of the game and you can play the game and do a guide at the same time

    Great video…as always.

  4. How do you know you bought a good game? When you have a bug fix that says this…… "Wife's sister living in the player's house" bug. Is fixed now (She returns to her family home). "NOOOOO! she was better looking than the wife!!! dam you! Put bug back in!!!"

  5. Idk why I'm here – I've been addicted to this game for a week and a half now… I guess I love watching videos about my addiction, not certain, but yes! Everyone should definitely get it, it's chill for a survival game, it's interesting, and gets you sucked in for hours and hours until you realize that the sun is coming up, and it's 7am, and you have stuff to do in an hour.
