Should You Play Season One? // Sea of Thieves Season One Review

Today we’re looking at Season One, the first Season for Sea of Thieves. We’re swapping back to a bigger update every 3 months, but Season One is definitely on the small side. It adds a new merchant voyage, the season pass, plunder pass, some new cosmetics, a boatload of Pirate Emporium items and some exclusive Pirate Legend cosmetics.

I personally think the update is small even for what we were led to believe. I hope Season Two will improve upon this aspect and we can have even more gold sinks, tall tales and voyages.

I hope you enjoy the video, next week we have a new concept video and possibly a new lore video if I have the time! Thanks again for watching!

  1. Rare shouldn’t have just shoved store items in the plunder pass and also will be adding the exclusive items from the plunder pass to the store after season one. That’s stupid. They should have release and exclusive set of something that you could only get in season 1 and not buy in the shop. After season 1 it is no longer available. So I feel proud of the items I e earned and not bummed that someone can just buy them later down the road

  2. The truly scattered and random pieces of cosmetic sets we get throughout the pass is genuinely baffling. I'd be interested in the blue aristocrat recolor, or the white and black bone crusher recolor if they were complete sets. The only additions this season brings about that I like are the barnacle set and the athena curse. The merchant voyages are neat for folks who enjoy PvE, but I'm not among them. I'll finish up my commendations for them with steals.

  3. I'm glad the newer players like this update. As someone who mostly pvps, one merchant mission for 3 months content this basically added nothing other than the expensive pl stuff which I do really like. Hope we get more of that each season.

Are you sure you got 200k from one of the new mission? That sounds way too high even if you sold in happy hour. Nice video anyhow.

  4. Tips for newbies. Look for 2 blue glints at every stop on the new voyage. If theres only 1 the keys not there. Just know, the key can clip through the sand and stuff so it is possible you'll walk STRAIGHT past it

  5. I really enjoyed playing on day 1, but I stopped a few months later. I wasn't good at the PvP. The movement mechanics are clunky. I'm not into the cosmetics either. I don't know anyone that plays SoT. It's a solo voyage for me and kind of boring.
I'll give SoT a retry, but I do enjoy your content. Keep it up!

  6. Was a bit disappointed with this update. Not much going on to get me playing again.

First I've seen of your channel. Really nice format. I'll be looking for future videos!

  7. The first two of the new voyages I did, the ship was partially clipped into the ground and it was impossible to get to the ledger since it spawned on the bottom deck. I haven't had that issue since, but those first two were really frustrating.
