  1. Briar's gotta point : the very first minutes of Outriders are rough ! 😅 After the Square Enix subscription process, I get to design my character for 35469 hours (yeah I'm one of these people) and at some point, I'm like "JEEZ, SH*UT UP MUSIC". 😅

    The rest of the demo is a mixbag of good and meh, and yet the experience feels satisfying. Sure, the cover mechanics feel clunky, the writing is not always very good, the quality of voice acting is very inconsistent, the shaky camera during dialogues is GODAWFUL…
    And yet the combat feels satisfying. The sound design is nice, you can literally explode heads, power cooldowns are short enough to let you use them consistently, and it rewards an active fighting style.

    May not buy this game full price on day one, but it's definitely on the list now. 😃
    Also, Watts nailed it : at first, I wasn't interested in Outriders. At all. But the way they marketed their game, that free demo… 👌

  2. Games like this, which I love, further prove how special Destiny is. I am glad I'll have an interesting and socially fun game when I get burnt out by my Destiny addiction!
    It's not perfect, but what it does well, it does really well.

  6. I think certain people have Destinyitis! Destiny has made a lot of people become too critical of games that are not meant to be taken super seriously. To me, this game is making fun of so many things within the Looter Shooter genre. Everything Destiny, Div 2, or others do, it does the opposite. Meaningful builds early in the geme, Amazing drops early within the experience and super powers come back in a matter of seconds not minutes. Just take it for what it is and have a nice day.
