SIMS 5 "DEEP INTO DEVELOPMENT" – NEWS, SPECULATION 2021

Sims 5 is deep into its development, according to Sims Community news. I’ll give you the details about Sims 5 speculation about using an Unreal Unity engine, new Sims career postings, and all the news about the launch of a potential Sims 5. I’ll also give you my honest opinion about what needs to happen for Sims 4/ what I want to see in 2021 before Sims 5 is announced.

All of this comes while Sims 4 has a promising new stuff pack, Paranormal Stuff, but is still broken, full of glitches, in need of a big Sims 4 update, and has broken Sims 4 skin tones. Sims 4 may still need more work, but it is unclear if wishlist items like generations, werewolves, farming, hotels, high schools, and bands/ music will come or not.

Stay tuned to Simmer Erin for Sims 4 and 5 news, info and speculation. I also do dlc ranked, wishlists, and occasionally let you know about the best Sims 4 mods/ cc. Plus, I cover Paralives news and updates, as well as Paralives interviews.

  1. Bottom of description has credits, as always, including the link to the article. While I find this news interesting, I still disagree with it being 'confirmed'. Hope everyone is having a great day!

  2. Knowing how greedy EA became, Im sure they will only launch a Mobile Phone Money Grab Sims… I would bet an arm on that, you guys just wait and see… Future generations is SO OBVIOUS !!!

  3. I don't think it's the Sims 5. I think they will just reboot and call it the Sims, no number. Like you say I think 5 will make or break this franchise. This next game could be the final straw in the camel's back. I think it's safe to say that this franchise is now starting to lose traction even with YouTubers.

  4. I hope we move on soon from TS4 to TS5 but I’m not sure that is the case right now. But if we do please NO CLAY HAIR!!!! I hope they go on a more TS2 or TS3 route for game play.

  5. Hey Simmer Erin I wanted to say thank you for being respectful to your community and always being honest and share news without overhyping it. I appreciate how you interact with us in your community even when we have opinions different than yours, I have been supporting you for over a year now and really appreciate you and your content. I don't have Twitter or most socials The Sims Team promotes their stuff on so it's helpful to know what's going on. Thanks for making me smile and making content for us!

  6. Am I the only one who doesn't want another Sims game? Like come on people, after all the bad talking you put towards EA and the creators? Make up your mind, you'll either continue being EA's bitches or you'll leave EA completely knowing how they are, especially with the Sims franchise. People have spent too much money on this game for little content that people complain about every single day. But then again, whenever a new trailer comes out, everybody flocks back to them saying this pack will be better, only to get disappointed.

Look, all I'm saying is that- don't put too much hope into another Sims game. I rather they fix the Sims 4 first.

  7. Sometimes i am a person of simple needs. I picked up sims4 again after seeing a challenge where you attempt generations with the short life span. I thought that would keep my interest, but it's very hard to play right now.

Sims will do things that i know will get them killed. They'll start cooking then walk away from the stove to go do something else. They'll make a whole new meal even when they see food already prepared or if there's leftovers in the fridge, draining their money incredibly fast. Either there's a kelpto stealing my stuff or loading back into my home makes my tv or computer disappear. Fine, sure, whatever.

But the fact that the game expects you to stay at your home or only control one or two sims is frustrating. I miss the ease of splitting households without having to go to manage worlds. I miss being able to swap back and forth between sims if one was at home and the other out and about. I dislike having my sim go out on the town in the afternoon, then come back at like midnight to find the household wide eyed and bushy tailed, not wanting to sleep until they only have an hour or two before work/school yet somehow acting like they are dying because i wasn't there to remind them not to die.

  8. I definitely don't think they are finished with the Sims 4 yet however, as you said I wouldn't be surprised if they have started working on Sims 5 . I don't think that Sims 4 can be anything but buggy since it been so many years. However, I am more worried about it clasping.

  9. If there is an online game I totally think it should be it’s own separate thing. And that they should be more focused on the single player aspects. Because I don’t know how DLC would work etc

  10. I'm definitely ready for sims 4 to wrap it up, the games been going of for 6 years now and at this point, it doesn't look it will be getting any better. No matter how much stuff they try to cram into this to keep simmers distracted, the core of the gameplay is just to bare and stripped. As for sims 5, im not hyped about it..not cause i want sims 4 to be around longer, but because I see the amount of cut corners that were taken with sims 4. The fall in quality for the sims sadly started in sims 3: left behind unfixed bugs, crashes, freezing, and start up problems. Despite all that the game was great for bringing in new ideas but you could tell quality was slowly going down hill as they left out small details that were in sims 2. (Ex: Sims just teleporting into their car, in sims 2 your sim actually opened the door and got in the car!) And now here we are at the crash site of sims 4. It's… just sad. Also im not looking for the newer ways Ea can come up to milk the hell out this franchise even more. The chopping up of expansion was clever, but not as clever as making stuff packs 10 for easy cash grab..that's why there's so many! Not to mention, i can't bare the thought of the patreon cc from greedy cc creators putting a choke hold on sims 5 like they did 4. Sims 4 is absolutely infested with nothing but patreon cc these days…it's ridiculous.

  11. i would prefer it be single player. sims is the game i like to play by myself when i'm feeling anxious and am just not in the mood to play with other people / my friends. if it's multiplayer, i would hope at least, that it's optional

  12. Even tho sims 5 might not come out in 3 years they always announce the next franchise a year before the game launches so I’m looking forward to that and pre orders

  13. I take issue with Grant working on this, but then I don't care much, too many issues with TS4 and EA is completely turning me off and I won't invest in TS5 for sure. Also, we say TS5 but it might come with a different name. SimCity for example was the 5th iteration but they reverted the name to just SimCity instead of SimCity 5. They might do the same and TS5 might be just The Sims, after all between SimCity (1) and SimCity (5) there is a 24 years gap and between TS1 and TS5 the gap might end up similar, already 21 years currently.

Edit: Gosh I played with TS1 when it released…I feel old now

  14. I agree with your opinions about Sims 5 and Sims 4. Of course I want the Sims 4 to be better and overhauled but at the same time I want to move on to something new and better (hopefully). Then again, I've spent so much money on Sims 4 and don't really like the idea of having to spend that much money on a new game. I'm conflicted, to put it simply.

  15. i wouldn't hate a multiplay aspect… simply put animal crossings. how i can do everything on my own, but have the option to go visit someone. but if they put all their eggs in the basket of sims kids wanting to be multiplayer its not gonna meet expectations.

  16. I wonder if The Sims 5 will fix issues The Sims 4 has such as the DLCs and pricing, and the recurring issue of "recycled themes" from previous games. I think instead of releasing multiple DLCs, EA could adopt the free updates structure of Minecraft where every free update introduces new features, The Sims FreePlay and Mobile uses this.

I noticed that YouTube tagged The Sims as the game being played but the video doesn't even contain footage of The Sims 1. I assume the word "Sims" caused YouTube to think The Sims 1 is being played.
I think you can change the game being played but I don't know if you can remove it (aside from changing the Category).

I've seen instances of YouTube incorrectly tagging a game as being played even if the video doesn't have footage of the game in question. This can be a problem with merchandise based on video games such as consoles and accessories styled after games. For example, the video covers a product based on Fortnite and has the Category to Gaming (since Fortnite is obviously a game and the product is centered around video games) but since YouTube recognizes Fortnite as a video game, it will put Fortnite as the game being played in the description even though uploader isn't actually playing Fortnite in the video.

  17. I love the sims 4 so much already. I also love sims 2 and sims 3 and the sims 1. These are all great games. I hope I would also be able to love the sims 5 as much as I love the first four. Hopefully, sims 5 will cover everything what we expect in the sims 2, sims 3 and sims 4.

  18. I'm really not ready for The Sims 5 yet. I still have so much to do with The Sims 4, and even The Sims 3. As far as I know, most other players don't appreciate the game as much as I do.

  19. I don't mind Sims 5 in progress, but I personally will still be playing Sims 4. I spent a lot of money on Sims 4, so I'm going to enjoy it. Plus, I wouldn't want to play Sims 5 upon release. I'll wait until they get their bugs sorted out

  20. It's cool if they make it, but if they make it MMO… Cross platform… On a subscription basis…. Online only… No thank you! If it takes the best features of every single game, builds upon it, implements emotions and aspirations better and allows for better settings customisation, then YAY. Otherwise… goodbye Sims franchise. As long as we can choose and turn things off, that's great.

If they go down the online, multiplayer route and then back out last minute (like the Sims 4), the game will be just as rushed and broken as the Sims 4! It doesn't matter if it takes 6 months longer, it's worth it if the end product is good! You can't please everyone, but I feel like the majority of players don't WANT the multiplayer option, but if they insist on adding it, please for everything that is good and holy, let us turn it off!!!!

  21. If we ever get The Sims 5, I think The Sims 5 should be a open would with actual cars that we can drive like back in The Sims 3. I think The Sims 5 need to be like Sims 4, but with stuff to do and more things like gameplay, etc. I don't agree with Sims 5, if they put it on subscription as Live. I understand if it's online, but still if we have Sims 5, I also think Sims 5 should be playable and others to have fun and not put it on subscription like Sims 4 haven't got it and I think Sims 5 should be a same as Simms 4 but different and not subscription. Part from that Sims 4 still a good game and the pack are good to, At the moment I think Sims 4 is better then Sims 5, but who knows what will going to happen
