That's a good way to start: killed by a tree, wake up by walking on the fire, killed by a troll. I think the adventure will be advertising.
By the way, you can split your stack on half by "shift + left click" and you can decide how much you want to have. The number that'll be showing on the slide bar will be the number in your hands. Also, to quick put in a chest or in your inventory a full stack, it'll be "ctrl + left click".
That'll be the only thing I can say to help you. I want to say more and help you more, but I'm afraid to spoil to much, so if you have some question like if you can tame the boar, just find a runestone. Some can repeat the samething, but some are different. So keep your eyes open for the runestone.
