Remember when we showed you how to run Skyrim on Xbox Series consoles at 60fps via user mods? At the time, it was not possible to do the same on PlayStation 5, but now – thanks to YouTube user Wrighton’s work – it can be done! And here’s how that stacks up against PS4, PS4 Pro and of course, Xbox Series X with its own 60fps mod installed.

  1. You took an entire chunk of this video to explain how much better a base PS4 runs this mod compared to the PS4 Pro, but what you failed to mention was how during your test the base PS4 was only running at 1080P while the PS4 Pro was running at 2160P……….no duh there is going to be a performance gap. Sheesh.

  2. I still have more fun in this game than almost any modern game…that's so sad…was hoping Cyberpunk to be the next one but the side missions are more Ubisoft styled rather than expansive fullblown storylines for each location and factions.

But nonetheless night city is crazy cool. It just feels more like an render environment than an actual game though…

  3. Got to say this video on this mod was a great prompt to revisit a classic, thank you DF and thank you wrighton, brilliant mod, transformative experience. I remember getting this for £10 years after it came out for PS3 and played it for like 80 hours, loved it. Got the disc yesterday for £15 and is reckon there’s another few hours to get here, playing a different style this time 🙂 Got to say I love the PSVR version too but would be fantastic to get an update for backwards compatible mode to up the resolution like No Man’s Sky has. Anyway, well played DF, well played wrighton!

  4. Clicks ANY TES/Skyrim video and there’s- ima say 60-70% chance the Dovahkiin song will play. I like the song but after hearing it a lot for so many years in countless videos, some days I just don’t want to hear it and roll my eyes kinda annoyed. While other days I don’t mind it, and actually enjoy it.🤔 Not feeling it today.🤷‍♂️

  5. Awesome stuff! Perhaps it's time to go back to skyrim for a third run.
But I must say I was expecting the ps4 pro to run the game at 60 fps, but Bethesda sucks. Huge thanks to this modder!

  6. This isn’t necessarily a fair comparison, as both are using different mods that each have different bugs. Ps5 literally just has a better uncapped 60fps mod. Plus both consoles can certainly run better than this, if you add many more mods.

  7. It would be really interesting if he made a mod for unlocked frame rate or maybe something with a higher frame barrier if the physics need a set frame rate. That way we could see how high the frames on the new consoles could actually go.
