Yea ESO has the best depiction of Volendrung. When I think " the hammer of might " I don't think of a health or stamina draining enchantment I think what ESO depicts of being able to destroy the walls and gates of mighty Imperial keeps and send enemies flying with a single swing of the hammer which you can do when wielding Volendrung in ESO.
We hear how these daedric artifacts are extremely powerful things yet when we get one it’s just a slightly good enchanted gear except in skyrim where crafted enchanted stuff is way better. ESO makes Volendrung feel like a actual daedric artifact.
I'm only a minute into the video but I know this is going to be good.
Both obviously, but ill watch this whole 11+ minute video anyway out of the kindness of my heart. Enjoy the watch time.
I was gonna comment something interesting about elder scrolls lore, but i got stumped by Scott reminding me that Martin said "dwemer hammer"
Used the hammer once and killed an emperor who reigned for 4 minutes. x'3c
Damn I just love your channel
I love dwemer content. I can't wait until ya'll do a video on Yagrum Bagarn, the last living dwemer.
I love you three
And ogres don't forget that Malacath also made the ogres I'm sure the dwemmer enslaved ogres to do all the heavy dirty work for them since the dwemmer had no qualms in enslaving whomever they considered an inferior race.
Wow what I like bar.
Isn't it kind both… it was made by the dwemer but ordered or taken by a deadra
Haven’t watched a video in a hot minute. It’s a good one. Glad to be back 🙂
Princes can not create…it’s in their being…..they can enchant the best forged weapons of the Mer Era
I don't know how much lore there is on it, but I think a video about the whole Dreamsleeve concept would be super interesting and fun to watch. I guess it'd be similar to your guys' other god videos.
I'm hoping Malacath and his artifacts walk the face of nirn in the next game, as the antagonist
The dwemer helmet looks so bizzare to me. I modded my game so it was an orange glass visor with nighteye effect, it seemed more appropriate to me, for such an advanced/non-vain race to have a more dehumanising and high tech helmet
I have a theory that Dwemer creations are prone to Daedric influence because they're essentially Ph neutral when it comes to divinity. Most craftsmen would work under the influence of Zenithar or an equivalent, either passively or deliberately, but the Dwarves were so anti-divine of all kind that there's no divine spark at all in their creations. So a Daedric Prince looking for an artifact could pick one up and easily sway it to a Daedric influence.
I always kinda assumed they crafted in copper, because of coppers unique properties with both magnetic and electromagnetic fields.
Hammerfell being the literal place where a hammer fell -> Mind = Blown. Great video guys!
Would have thought that you was gonna mention its importance in ESO and Sheogorath stealing it form Malacath.
This is completely off subject but has anyone ever wondered why elder scrolls doesnt expand on alchemy, and enchanting?
Everytime I watch one of your videos, I want to play Skyrim or oblivion all over again
For a Dwemeri hammer, Volendrung looks surprisingly Orcish. Perhaps Malacath managed to influence it somehow.
Deep Elf?
I prefer the term "the Atheist Elves."
The absorb stamina effect plus the look it has in skyrim as well as the fact that it doesn't have a different version depending on what level you are when you get it makes it really cool and powerful
but how can you still do skyrim content… how is that even possible
I just love how MudgeFuppet keeps creating same videos, about same subjects, around same game over and over again, year after year.
It's hysterical, yet awesome!)
Another amazing video❤ always going beyond the thoughts
To the title of the video, the answer is "yes."
It's made of poop.
Malacath is god of the spurned and outcast, and thus could have been a patron of clan Rorkhan, whose self imposed exile drove them to new lands. Perhaps not worship, but a working relationship and partnering with Malacath would be beneficial for both.
before i even watch the video, i just wanna say this video has been LONG awaited by me 🙂 thanks for the years of awesome content lads, and all the years to come 🙂
0:15 "Old Resdayn". Resdayn is how Chimer/Dunmer called the province, but Dwemer called it Dwemereth.
Is it just me or is it interesting how similar the clockwork city and dwemir cities look?
The fact ebony ore is rare and an essential component of Daedric armour seems to suggest it may originate from Oblivion. This otherworldly nature is further alluded to by the description of "raw ebony" from Morrowind that says it is considered "crystalized blood of the gods". If you consider the mythology around Volendrung it seems possible that the Rourken tribe were aware of the origins of ebony ore and they actually followed a large chunk falling to Nirn like a meteor lighting up the sky as it fell. It would then seem that they found where it landed and forged the Volendrung from the vast ore deposit they now had access to. The truth then became obscured by myth as many things seem to do in Nirn.
In ESO, Volendrung is awarded to PvP players, by sheogorath, as a srot of kill-streak reward. It completely changes the players ability bar, but but drains their health and stamina until death, allowing them for an even more explosive surge in kills at the cost of ending their streak.
Bruh what? I just got a notification but this video is 6 days old
Who the fuck would dislike this video? Wtf
Hammer city. Sounds like a real pound town
Maybe it's connected to Trinimac. Maybe it was his hammer and the rouken retrieved it.
"Anything is a dildo if you're brave enough" – The dwemmer shortly after creating volendrung
Install snarkydragons sarcastic loading screens, it's great
Wait a minute if Daedra came into Existence couldn’t someone learn a Certain spell or Enchantment to kill one for good
Wonderfully written introduction. Brilliant.
Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't.
what’s your cities name?
hammerfell
Why’s it called that?
…hammer fell
Sunder is a much more potent hammer. So much so, that you had to acquire an enchanted gauntlet(Wraithguard) just to wield it or it would kill you!
Still love Rueful & Hrothmunds’ axe.
