One of my suggestions for replacements of Boost in the meantime is Boost Mode from Sonic Advence 2 and Chaos Control but rn, Boost Mode feels right and Balan Wonderworld has a Boost Mode which looks perfect, the only difference is unlike the ability granted by the costume, the Boost Mode just has afterimages in a color scheme of a character and not the comet aura in front.

I wasn’t so big on classic Sonic to be honest. I just like Sonic in general. He should be only one character. That’s why this confuses a whole bunch of people. I hope for the best for this series but this leak has been pretty much confirmed to be fake but I hope it's not to far off from what we will get but considering that the series is in desperate need for a good game again they can't screw this up this time
Hopefully sonic 06 remastered and done right, shadow the hedgehog, and even unleashed all remastered for the series X and Ps5. They can remaster the secret rings and black knight for the switch and update the look.
