  1. My all time favorite game is old.. it's Unreal Tournament and also Unreal Tournament 2004.. I own them on steam and now GOG as of the awesome spring sale that just ended.

  2. Funny how during every PS5 event (last stats of play for example) you all eagerly wait big Triple A announcement, but then you all call the event trash when it just consists of indie games

  3. The problem is that we allowed update patches to become acceptable in console gaming and that was always going to bite us. It's not too late to demand change, but we're all going to need to stop pre-ordering anything except hardware and start simply passing on games like Cyberpunk 2077 that ship broken. The industry won't listen if the money keeps rolling in.

  4. While this topic is a great conversational piece we have to remember that video games are #1 a luxury, not a privilege and #2 it's a business. I've gamed on everything since the atari 2600 and I've enjoyed a huge majority of what I've played. However I had to accept that in 2021 regardless of my stand on how Sony is handling thing the player base is getting younger and younger. There's no money in it for companies such as Sony to keep things active from 2 generations ago. We're living in the digital age Rich. Did you forget Blockbuster video is gone? Right along with compact disc's? Why is that? Because everything has gone digital. It is what it is due to technology. At the end of the day gaming is not a privilege and if nobody likes it, make your own company and change the industry

  5. Also not trying to be anti console here but buy a pc, create an account on GOG. Have your games installed via the GOG galaxy launcher or download game installers and save them on external hard drive or Blu-ray Disc. Have both convenience and archival solutions.

  6. $ony doesn't care about anyone but that $ony $$$, Rich. No game preservation (which when you think about it, how often does the majority play the old vs new, exclusive releases? Part of me can't blame them for developing cinema quality games, which in part their specific devs' content just doesn't interest me much vs XBox) no mobile PSN/PSNow, limited PC support….. As streaming becomes more broadened for exclusive eco, $ony is losing the long run.

  7. It's sad to say this but it's actually too late already… Once the ps store for ps3, psp and vita get shut down, everything will be lost forever. Sony should have done everything when the ps5 launched, but they screw up pretty bad. Bcoz ps5 is the last saving grace for all things retro on the store to be preserved, its now or never. We need that all our previous digital purchases can be played on future consoles, and that need to be done by the time ps5 launched. But since the sony is pulling the plug already, I think we can all say goodbye to digital backwards compatibility…

  8. I've been gaming since the 80's. I honestly can't go near games more than five or so years old, they are too dated. I rarely go back to a game either, once It's completed. I know people who love retro games though, different strokes for different folks.

  10. Obviously they are censor happy now. they make games for a minor section of gamers and they alienated gamers in Japan and in general. who turned Sony into this how did this happen?

  12. For myself I preferred buying physical games, and when we didn't need an internet connection to play, where I live I can't get good internet, therefore I only have a 200gb a month limit and 20mbps Max download speed.
