  1. Would rather have slim models with more memory as memory costs go down & components get smaller over time on offer & no pro model. Instead of spending R&D $ to get a slightly better mid gen model put that toward games & studio development & getting a truly next gen console when the time comes for that.

  2. Multiple models with varying performance levels are the way of the world now – greater player base and the master race-ish ability to upgrade means mid-gen updates and multiple models are financially viable too. So, why not?

  3. I am going to wait for a PS5 Slim model to come out. By then, the console should have hardware issues tested and sorted, uses less power and most importantly, it will have a solid library of games (and heck the solid games out now will then be on sale)
4k doesn't overly appeal to me. Makes no sense in fact being 3m (10ft) away from a TV. The difference in visual fidelity is the polygon count, the lighting effects (such as ray tracing) and a solid frame rate.
When I see PS4 graphics and PS5 graphics side by side and the extra detail, I know its not because of 4K. I know because I am looking at it on a 1080p monitor.

  5. The numbers in favour of PS5 could well relate to a perceived bias of your channel toward the Sony product. As the owner of PS4 pro and One X and now Series X I think a lot of Microsoft fanboys will have deserted your channel and also the sheer number difference will have a bearing too. My Series X had no build issues I can fault

  6. They will definitely do pro models, technology advances too fast…they might get a 10 year console generation if we see a pro in like 2025…so I think it just makes sense, especially if more games start to do 4K 120 with Ray tracing…if that becomes possible…obviously ps5 and Xbox series will need to be more powerful…

  7. I'm pretty sure they're going to have mid-gen console updates again. But before that, hopefully we get consoles with more internal storage, more power efficient components, smaller size, etc.

  8. I was extremely happy with my ps4 pro purchase. I was an early adopter for a 4k TV and playing my Pro on a 4k TV was amazing compared to my og ps4 and most games had a much better framerate. That being said I don't think we will see mid gen updates this time.

  9. Just like I did not buy the original PS4, and Xbox. I am waiting for the middle generation upgrade PS5 Pro/ Slim, Xbox series X. Hopefully with more RAM, and larger SSD. Less buggy. More powerful, and efficient. No reason ever to jump on the bandwagon. 🎮😀✌️

  10. As someone that prefers console gaming, I don’t want the hardware artificially held back.

If the manufacturers are going to switch to a smaller chip fabrication, and free performance is available, I want the option to upgrade.

  11. might need to jump on the ps4 pro this year XD… i was really expecting a slim pro…. and official price drop now that ps5 is out?! easier to get people into the ps ecosphere if ps4 went down to £150-£200 …. ps4 pro £250-£300??? ps5 digital £400….

  12. I think deep learning AI is making big leaps, indeed MS and Sony are reportedly invested in it. Imagine a 1080p native image upscaled with this tech to 4k and looking as good if not better, that’s the big leap and would effectively give you 3-4 times the power, that’s why I think a pro model will not happen. Unreal engine 5 looks incredible too. We are only scratching the surface with these consoles as many Devs have pointed out the best is yet to come once their full power is unleashed 👍🏼

  13. Are you an idiot? Why Yes Yes Foxy IS! CRAZY!, 2025 Upgrades are required just because how much better pc graphics will be by then, if they wait 6 or more years the 6090 cards will make consoles scream in fear even the 6060 cards will be stronger, maybe even integrated cards possibly.

  14. On vanila PS4 and Xbox one graphic was bad textures no AA and 4x anisotophic filt. or lower in 2017. Even in 1080p on my PS4 pro with supersampling and procesor boost mode graphic was really sharper even without HDR 10 than whole year after with 4k HDR TV it was much better… We cuould not wait with such weak graphic in first PS4 and Xbox one till now, maybe in start they should not release such weak consoles, like now PS5, we want nextgen graphic not 60fps Tetris and we get 30fps Spiderman MM… it is soo weak in start again…

  15. The PS4 didn’t suffer from the same problems that the PS5 launch is having. The PS5 is still mid launch. There never should have been a PS5 anyway. Why keep making a new console every 4 or 5 years? Release a console that we the consumer can buy hardware and software upgrades for and then sell the upgrades. Like a PC but dedicated to gaming. This generation console launch has been the worst in decades thanks to Sony and Microsoft’s naivety. Technology has evolved and with it the scum of the world. To think the bottom feeders won’t take advantage of new tech launching is foolish.

  16. I don’t think there’s the need for upgraded versions of current gen consoles. The PS5 and Series X are on par with high end PCs, and with better optimisation, we should be able to play most games at dynamic 4K 60fps with at least medium to high settings for the next 4-5 years.

The reason we saw the XB1X and PS4 Pro was because the PS4 and XB1 were already outdated at launch.

I don’t think there will be a need for upgraded consoles, especially with Microsoft working on machine learning. That will be the next big thing.
