  1. Really hoping this is just some server issue and not Sony actually disabling the ability to download PS3 patches for games you already own, but they haven't said anything yet.

  2. For my prospective it stupid by knowing PSP, PS3 and PS Vita started the downloaded content like PS2 started online gaming The biggest problem with the PlayStation Store being shut down on PSP, PS3, and PS Vita is going to cost Sony a lot people and money because the biggest fear for Sony is that most people will leave and go to Nintendo and Microsoft Xbox ,once it happens because PS4 and PS5 have no backwards compatible ability for PS1, PS2, PS3 game discs,PSP, and PS, Vita game titles

  3. You know what, I guess it’s time to buy an Xbox series x. I always buy both. Xbox and PlayStation. Just in case shit like this happens. But at this point I actually wanna throw my ps5 to the garbage. I grew up with PlayStation and this is just hella sad. I’m more frustrated than sad actually.

  4. Meanwhile, all my offline consoles and games work perfectly. It just doesn't seem wise to continue investing money into video games. You will be forced to purchase the same games over and over, if they even become available for purchase again, in order to continue playing it. They look at it as a loss if you, a customer, simply buy a game and then own a game and no longer pay for that game. It's all in service to the games-as-a-service model, moving toward a future where you pay constant recurring fees to stream content that you can never own. You will play what is made available for you to play and nothing else, and you will pay all of your money for the privledge. I do not accept the terms of their offer, and my counter-offer doesn't actually require their acceptance. People have been far too lenient on these companies.

  5. I had actually been planning on buying an old ps3 in order to play the R&C collection and various other games, but what's the point now. i just hope they make some effort to move titles onto the newer systems, it always sucks when games you played years ago can no longer be reliably obtained or played.

  6. Warning to people who are new to YongYea’s channel, he spreads a lot of negative news and rarely covers good news. He creates a sense that everything is going downhill, when in reality it’s opposite of that. Focusing too much on the bad news will make you think that and that’s what he relies on for views. As you can see he has developed a community that are extremely pessimistic and will come at you with full force if you are even remotely suggesting the opposite of the consensus. Be warned that this entire channel is one big echo chamber.

  7. Yeah as far as I'm concerned if the only legitimate way to get a copy of a game is to go through scalpers upcharging out the ass then go right ahead and pirate. Once PS3 is totally gone offline and you can't buy games like Cellfactor legitimately then what's the harm?

  8. I'm not getting a good vibe from Sony with all the bad and worrisome press lately. I have been a Playstation fanboy for generations, and to be honest, I'm strongly leaning towards XBOX these days. I was lucky to have purchased a PS5, but the truth is, I'm thinking about wanting a Series X more than the PS5 I bought. That should be a big concern to Sony because I have a feeling I'm not the only one leaning more towards XBOX.

  9. Also remember, many games do not let you use saves created on newer versions. GT5 is an example. If like me, you have hundreds of hours put into the game, with the save linked to the latest patch, you can no longer use your save if you can't update the game.

Sony can suck it as far as I'm concerned. With Sony bringing many of its 'exclusives' to Steam, I'm finally free to move fully to PC next gen. I'm done with the console gaming BS!

  11. Just spent the past 2 hours downloading updates for 40+ PS3 games as my original PS3 died and wanted to avoid missing out on the updates being unavailable in future, all those disc changes… my back is killing me!
A note to all ME fans, if you bought the original Mass Effect digitally as I did when the trilogy edition was released but own 2 & 3 on disc, make sure do download updates for ME2 otherwise you cannot import your ME1 save and will have to rely on Genesis.
