  1. "it" refers to Death as cosmological force. It's obvious. Death wants to topple all the other cosmic forces, just like the rest also want to do the same.

We may even get Light incursion expansion next 😌

  2. In the next cinematic though the leaders of the other covenants say Denathrias wasn't Zovals equal. Denathrias was Zovals 2nd in command. He was given a covenant because he was vital in betraying Zoval.

I think they are referring to death as a process not a single entity.

  3. I think you’re right about everything except specifically his mentions of death…. you said you see death as a being but I don’t think that’s quite right…. My interpretation was seeing death as a state of being and once you’re in said state of being you’re under control of powers that have existed and ruled that state of being and can use you as a player to further increase their power…. notice how zovaal says that death will claim us all including our world soul…. it sounds as if death is the state of being we’ll be in and once the engine of death is broken then death can move out of its own realm of “state of being” and claim all life essentially allowing the powers that be within death, use all life to increase their power and rule.

  4. Shadowlands takes a lot of inspirations from Greek mythology. I would not at all be surprised if the Pantheon of Death (going out on a limb and guessing those are the First Ones) are drawn from the Greek Titans. And the Eternal Ones are like the lesser gods who overthrew their titan ancestors. Betrayal… sound familiar? Which would make The Jailor Thanatos, the Titan of Death. If I recall correctly, was he not thrown into Tartarus? Making The Arbiter like The Fates; and the glowing ball like their eye.

Archon / Ferrying souls = Hermes?
    Primus / War = Ares?
Winter Queen / Nature = Demeter? (She weeps for her daughter Persephone all winter and can't wait until Spring so they can wake the world up together)
Sire Denathrius / Retribution against hubris = Nemesis? OR an argument could be made for Pan. Since he does have the horns, and is indulgent.
IF they do consider the Arbiter an Eternal One, she'd the The Fates.

OR What if The Runecarver is completely separate from The Primus, and is the equivalent of Hephaestus?

The Archon I believe is a easter egg-style hint that there will be 9 Eternal Ones in total, since there were 9 magistrates of Ancient Greece that were referred to as the Archons. I also find it really interesting that they decided to call the Eternal One presiding over Maldraxxas The Primus. Get ready for this. The bishop of the Episcopal Church, of which there are NINE "provinces".

That gives us potentially 5 Eternal Ones if we include the Arbiter and 6 Provinces if we include both the Maw and the capital of Oribos. If we got 1 zone per patch, that would give us all 9 provinces. My theory is the remaining Eternal One is their leader, who is "too good" to oversee the Maw. And instead mocks The Jailer by saying that he has dominion over it.

  5. Here's the problem.

Denathrius agreed with the other eternal ones at one point. He helped banish zoval. The winter queen tells you that as well.

So, why all the sudden did he have the change of mind?

  6. I think what i said last about death kind of holds more water now, and i am starting to think that arbiter was a creation of light, Think about it we have seen how those that follow the light are fanatic's or the ends justify the means at which we obtain them. If this is true than we could be seeing the next expansion be the void/light war, and all of this could just be the lead up to it.

  7. "There may be multiple lords of Death"… Yeah, Zovaal and Argus already so we have two already. Both imprisoned for ages, that's hardly a coincidence since it was probably the titans that imprisoned Argus and the Shadowlands seems to have been in "perfect order" when Zovaal was imprisoned.

  8. I am half way through the RD/Venth story and i gotta say i don't like any of the NPC's i have meet so far. They are all a bunch of tools and wank tards. ZoVaal is the First One of Death and the Shadowlands was his realm. Had to edit out the stronger words cause kid might read this
