  1. One detail from the 9 to 5 google article was that Google is "giving product managers more authority in a shift away from the traditional engineer-oriented structure", which I see as a really good thing. An over-emphasis on engineering is what could have resulted in Stadia's current state of excellent technology, but so-so marketing and product design. A move back the other way would be great news to me.

  2. Well i played with a friend that play on Xbox serie x and i was on Stadia so i can confirm we are indeed on same outriders build (1.0 stadia was not 1.0 for others platforms) as for John as much of a good guy he was he sadly did not do a good job so hopefully replacement will be better.

  3. I am hoping this means a refocus on marketing. A new blitz and a push for Google to sell the platform. I am bullish but time will tell. Also, I agree on the fishing game!

  4. I honestly feel like he's leaving probably for the same reason Jade left Phil Harrison is a c******* and they should have never hired him He's has done nothing I seriously believe he is the biggest problem with stadia and has been since day one…

  5. The problem with the jumbo shrimpin game is that while it does look like the most polished game there it also looks like a mobile game. Guess it didn’t stop reigns though…

  6. I'm definitely on the wait and see side of things. I don't think panicking and worrying is gonna do any good after all these this is something that's commonin business, but I can already see these publication having a field day since they only report to fuel negativity, As for I'm gonna keep supporting. Good job Sunny

  7. I'm already done with Stadia. I had RE8 pre-ordered on Stadia, but I cancelled it. I had a terrible experience with Outriders (it's so broken) and they won't allow me a refund (I'm passed the time limit for an automated refund and I contacted customer service). I'll stick with xCloud (I have a Chromebook and can play fine with the Android app on there) where refunds aren't an issue until Stadia figures out some way to either make devs care about the platform or offers exceptions to the refund policy when games are broken.

  8. He worked great as being the public face for Stadia on interviews, talking with real excitement of the project. Sad to see him go, but that doesn't really says anything particular about the platform just yet, and I wish him the best on his next endeavors

  9. Stadia is dying. I'm sure of this. They make it fun while it lasts but…everyone that matters and everything they build is getting out.

  10. I just want to point out to anyone who owns one, Stadia actually looks and performs better on my Shield TV compared to chromecast ultra. Less input lag and everything

  11. Stadia's biggest problem has been having a voice the public can rely on for information. All we get are blog posts and trailer dumps while other platforms have leaders in the public eye.

  12. All the hacks at tech websites who are stadia haters will be rubbing there hands with glee at this news.
This means nothing as to the future of stadia IMO.
    LONG LIVE STADIA!

  13. I see stadia in the process of a slow death, its far from what we were led to belive it was going to be, we are being pelted with indie trash, trine 4, but no 1,2,&3? Come one. Next gen consoles already look better in resolution than stadia, stadia also rarely does actual 4k..and 80% of the time not at 60fps.
50% ubisoft titles we already played. I love my stadia , it has its uses, but really its a dust magnent only powered on when a actual NEW title drops which is rare..very rare
With that said i hope things get better, but realistically it wont, it was perfect for the time it dropped, its obsolete now.

  14. JJ definitively looked like a Good Guy, but we should be honest: as lead of consumer experience team, he wasn´t doing a really great job…. I mean, how long did it took to implement the damm search bar?? how long´s gonna take to make the new chromecast with GoogleTV to be compatible with Stadia?? I mean, it´s the ChromeCast Ultra successor, it was launched almost 8 months ago and still it´s NOT suitable to use Stadia….. Man, things like that are the reason people won´t stop saying things like "Google´s gonna close Stadia anytime soon".

Changes on the head of the team doesn´t have to be a bad thing at all, just look at Xbox division: since Phil Spencer took Don Mattrick´s chair, it changed its course and improved on almost every way possible….. We may be watching the same situation here.

Anyway, I love Stadia and it has become my main platform, but man, it´ve a ton of areas to improve, and maybe a leadership change can help to speed it up.

  15. Why is everyone going into sheer panic? Stadia has already told us that they have 2021 and 2022 games all but sown up. The tech is still the best and until Google pulls the plug, which they won't regardless what people think Stadia will go from strength to strength.
