I think timed exclusives are basically the same as a full exclusive when you factor the social aspect into it. A large number of people play the games their friends are playing, so waiting for instance a whole year would eliminate that social interaction. For instance, FFVII Remake is coming to Xbox at some point (supposedly) but all the buzz will have died down entirely. Timed exclusives are basically just to sound benevolent to the public, in my opinion.
Not sure about turtles, but Ghostbusters, Chris is Spengler, Jonesy is Stanz, Jamie is Venkman. Yeah, I grew up with both cartoons.
I thought I didn't go through "young adult drama" phase, but I do remember liking Joan of Arcadia. I'm still sad it got cancelled. Also only Chris will know what I'm talking about, but I went through a 7de Laan phase as well… At least that helped to improve my Afrikaans 😅

I was certainly tickled by this episode, thankfully stayed out of EA ultimate team thing but got pulled in one year for NBA 2k team and spent way too much $$ on like you said something that only has value for a few months or even weeks as updates & better versions of your particular card keep rolling out. Other than that one year and the Marvel Omega Heroes dlc(zero regrets) I never really spent much for DLC or gambling mechanic portions of games.
Sometimes I wonder why I listen to this podcast every week. Then there's another Holly Valance namedrop and I remember why.
Chris, I know what you mean with the oc. I watched Smallville and I find myself wanting to go back and get my teenage angst on, even though I'm 36 now. I don't know what its about. I can't recommend Smallville, it was awful, I'm sure the oc is too. Still spawned one of my favorite snl skits ( the shooting?). Good times.
