Stargate: Timekeepers Video Game Now in Development (News)



STARGATE is returning to the world of video games, more than a decade after the previous effort went offline. The U.K.-based publisher Slitherine has announced STARGATE: TIMEKEEPERS, a real-time strategy game currently in development for the PC under license from MGM.

With a new cast of original characters, Timekeepers will give players a chance to engage in combat with the Goa’uld System Lords, rescue allies from danger, and travel through both space and time — exploring different points in the Stargate timeline.

  1. The trailer looks pretty cheap. Expectations are very low.
    Too bad they didn't believe in the game from the beginning so they gave it to a noname studio.

  2. I'm excited for a RTS but I don't like the premise. I'd rather it be closer to X-com where we're in control of the SGC and we're directing the conflict with the Goa'uld. The whole time travel aspect lowers my interest being set in one of the alternate realities would have made more sense.
