  1. I really don't want to be negative here but my God at the end of the day it's still the same maps and you're killing plague hearts this doesn't change anything and doesn't entice me play again and you thought lowl was a laggy ass mess wait to this s*** f**** drops. The s*** that they're trying to drop is too ambitious for the consoles

  2. I think the plague Territory makes the game closer to reality by how it effects the area around the plague hearts being air-borne and if the devs implement it growing over-time in a later patch, how you have to combat the blood plague and the zombies overall.

Compared to 2years ago, the Plague hearts were just a present waiting to be open with no real threat to you and the blood plague zombies – just a nuisance overall. I was surprised and glad they added the blood plague special zombies from heartland & Daybreak to normal campgian.

  3. I wish the Undead Labs would make Daybreak rewards more then 100 prestiage points after each completed round since the Max is 100k overall or bring the difficulty back down to where it was back then.

A few of the Daybreak achievements for solo r impossible to get now due to the difficulty.

I tried in 10 games in the last 2weeks to make it wave 10. The closest I got was wave 8, still need to unlock the last 3 items in Daybreak. Those need all 10 waves complete to get them.

Heavy Blasted Sniper Rifle, RedTalon Officers Club and Cleo Relay Cores/Cleo Relay unlocked.

  4. It almost looks like they are trading the regular books for ouposts you need to upgrade.

I don't like the idea of them adding more magical/teleporting zombies though. It was immersion breaking enough before… it will soon be much worse.

  5. No thanks, i want a SOD3. 1st and 3rd person, with bigger worlds, better map design, more realistic bases and the opportunity to make outposts/bases anywhere, deeper quests, human enemy patrols and bases, better weapon customizing, a good hitbox, new skill system, getting rid of ´´gun dealer monthly rotation´´ and for fuck* sake: a 100% working coop multiplayer campaign. Sod 2 is not bad, however it has way more potencial.
But hey, maybe the day before delivers a great gameplay and there is no need for a sod3 🙂

  6. Trash. It just makes players play a certain way. Taking away ine of the better features of the game. And the beta is just another slap in the face for console players. So a game that started on Xbox, from a Microsoft partnered studio, is doing a beta in Steam. Joke

  7. Maybe we'll be able to send guards, survivors to patrol around these upgraded outposts?? Or maybe we'll be able to build stuff in them? Definitely interested in the potential outcomes of it, tho if it's just an upgrade… lame. I want more chaos in the world, I wanted enclaves to stake a claim on their areas, to protect their territory themselves, build their own outposts and build like we do, see invisible strain on steam, that game works great but it doesn't have nearly the potential SOD has, I really hope SoD3 isn't a franchise killer, I love this game.

  8. Imagine if you could send survivors like back in the day, but better, set up your own "horde" patrol of survivors pairs to go scout and loot places, or even clean infestations, lemme tell you im sick of having to clean infestations all the time, having the ability to send your people to do stuff is really needed, lots of missions could be generated from this, like; they failed and need a rescue, someone got blood plague, they managed to clean the infestation and found some goodies along the way (useful in those late but resource dry stages) attack enemy enclaves, attack plague hearts, with dynamic updates on whether they're losing or winning allowing us go retreat them if things are bad.. this game has potential I just wonder if UL will bother.

  9. Considering the game just released on steam, I don’t think there’s many people who are willing to buy the game twice. The beta feedback will be skewed by newer or anti Microsoft store players. It’s been a while since I played. Lethal zone feels more annoying/unfair than hard. Mostly from those damn blood ferals. Lost many communities runs just from one sniffing me out a 1/4 mile away even while sneaking

  10. This news isn't really a major update. It seems like UL is trying to keep the game fresh while holding the hordes of fans off before SoD3 is released, which is looking like later than sooner. Plague territories are more of a way to get players to immediately defeat the plague hearts as soon as possible. I prefer to set my outposts up first, collect as many plague samples I can, and defeat the plague hearts as soon as my leader is ready to advance to the end of their legacy story. Once the plague hearts are defeated, very few, if any, plague zombies spawn which makes it difficult to continue to collect plague samples to take into future games. I was hoping they'd use this Beta on a nearly 3 year old game on something of more significance, but I will continue to lower my expectations when expecting new, fresh content from UL. Low expectations can result in joyous excitement when something of great value is finally released to the masses.

  11. Plague zones definitely put some cramp in my style, but it will be fun to have to restructure my playstyle. Adds in a breath of fresh air, if you will. I like the revamped icons too, it took me forever to find infestation icons before.

  12. I can see a potential balance issue with upgradable outposts. If I'm interpreting it correctly I won't need to focus as much on the standard 5th skills. Need nutrition, just upgrade an outpost and slap a more useful quirk skill on that dude with an open 5th.

All new content is always welcome and this feature does look interesting. Honestly though, who had this on their wishlist bingo card?

I'm still holding out hope that they will add recruitment from the legacy pool. The ability to create "Dream Teams" would certainly add more viable long term play.

  13. well I hope they work on exploding cars and zombie respawns when entering building, I literally had a screamer spawn directly behind my character and spit on me within seconds after I got all the way into the building, I feel like we could improve on how zombies spawn, or as we all know when you clear an entire area and enter a building you come out 2 second later and you have 2 hordes on your car or when they just keep respawning 8 of them in a house over and over again.

  14. Plague sphere of influence is an awesome idea, because now I was mostly ignoring all plague hearts unless I got never expiring survivor missions which forced me to kill one to have random missions available again.
Will be awesome on lethal to be forced killing plague hearts in order to move to better bases.
Upgradable outposts sounds nice, but you can already have sustainable communities quite easy, so hope they give you fun bonusses that you can feel on the field not just skip the finding skill book part, thou that will be super useful as well.

  15. This could really change up the pace of gameplay. Instead of just moving into a location and pooling recourses, outposts and etc, then taking on the plague hearts one by one; this would encourage you to fight back and claw territory from the start. Should make general zombies feel threatening again. I'd also like the idea of the it sphere of influence growing as the game goes longer.
