  1. If madden comes out I would wait for the next one or see if they sell it at a discounted price…

Also I would want good giving me suggestion on stadia. I find it creepy that facebook and google already serve me ads based on my search history

  2. Random comment…I’ve noticed that games seem to work better on Stadia, using my iPhone 11 on 5ghz WiFi. Main thing I notice is playing Dead by Daylight and skill checks. ZERO latency! Better than my hardwired Chromecast Ultra. Thoughts?

  3. I'm guessing Hailstorm will be their gen 2 blades. Their will be games that can have millions of particles floating on the screen. It makes sense with AV1 so that more data is compressed into a single package. I bet they have a game or two that release with Hailstorm. It could be a more expensive subscription service.

I would really like to see a VR offering.

  4. John justice said they will not talk about anything unless its ready.

This is not a press rumor but its inside the apk, so either it was necessary for them to start adding the code in apk so its ready in time or the devs went out of their way to make this code

so either way it might be a feature and new one.

  5. The bit of info that you guys are missing regarding AV1 is that in order to achieve a better compression at a given level of quality, bot the decode AND encode process are more resource intensive.
While this isn't a huge for YouTube as long as the receiving device has hardware capable of decoding the stream quick enough, it might be an issue for Stadia, which currently uses sub-millisecond encoding with h.264 and VP9.
So unless Google have some amazing new chipset specifically built for rapid AV1 encoding (which I believe we would have heard about at this point) or dedicate a TON of processing power to encoding, we might not see AV1 used for Stadia as soon as people seem to believe.

  6. Joined the Stadia family in December. Just recently found your show and it's great.

Wanted to comment on Project Hailstorm. I feel like it might be a named used for an initiative to drop big games, in quick succession, to bulk up the library. In my mind, I'm thinking something of a distant cousin to Xbox's former "Summer of Arcade." Just imagine a push in February to drop HUGE games each week. GTA V (or maybe all the GTA games), Star Wars Squadrons, FF VII Remake, or something like that. I think Stadia's biggest issue right now is library and I think Project Hailstorm is an attempt to have a down pouring of hits for current players.

  7. As a longtime Madden player we do NOT need it on Stadia! it's constantly broken, never given new features, and is never updated on time. It's EA's ultimate cash cow! It would be like bringing the trainwreck that was and still is Fallout 76. Just my opinion.
