  1. To set down a fish trap with your trapper, click on the trapper and you should see the option to place a fish trap on the bottom left of your screen, next to the button which opens up the character's stats. It can be placed anywhere along the coastline.

  2. floors and foundations are below grade, I think the build menu has an option to turn off auto-remove blocks (default), maybe you can try placing buildings above ground, as a troubleshooting method, to eliminate this factor.

  3. The big mined out staircase might be tough to do, usually only mining 4 blocks high at a time is recommended. Then the next 4 blocks down can get done, so the top layers are mined first. Otherwise, if they go down too far they will need ladders to reach the higher up blocks later.
Later on you can get one more Wizard belt… and the Wizard can have spell books in use at the same time as the extra fireball spell too.

  4. ah, I didn't quite mean you had to grab my mod 😉 just that the stand-alone necro would most likely not work. also side note, I have no clue if goblins are able to get necromancer. if you ever do another playthrough as a different kingdom though, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to experience the fullness of necromancer

  5. You get red building blocks when the game can't figure out how to procedurally build a design. In my experience, it usually happens when a design is too close to another building or terrain…. Try building walls, floors, etc. under ground. If a design is actually clipping it should tell you so =]
I haven't played this one since the last official release but I doubt the building procedure has been updated. It was ambitious for a dev team, let alone modders
